⁣Want to hear a CRAZY story? 🤭⠀⠀

We had this crazy idea August 2018. 💃⠀
I was sitting with 2 of my past senior girls (Aspen and Maddie) in Vegas and we talked about how cool it would to have a little stash of clothes for any girl getting senior pics that didn’t feel super confident and maybe couldn’t afford cute clothes. 👗👚⠀⠀

⠀⠀
I knew I didn’t have a ton of free time but I had a little space for it and I just felt a tug to at least start something. ❤⠀⠀

⠀⠀
We named it “Tracy’s Closet”. 🌸⠀⠀
⠀⠀
⠀⠀
A week later, I made a Facebook post and it got so many comments and shares (hundreds!) and it just BLEW UP with people wanting to help. 2 weeks later the closet had a fresh coat of paint and was completely packed with donations. 🙌🏻⠀⠀
⠀⠀
Almost a year ago exactly we got approved as a 501c3 charity and have been growing ever since. Tracy’s closet and the entire crew of amazing volunteers have helped over 100 teens come shop the closet (they take whatever they want at no cost) and donated bags and bags and bags of extra clothes to the women’s shelter, family services, and more. 📦🛍⠀⠀

We’ve dressed them in school clothes, athletic wear, prom and twirp dresses, had people volunteer hair and makeup and therapy and so much more. 🎊⠀⠀

⠀⠀
It’s been SO COOL to see the community come together and support these teen girls. High school is SO HARD, and we’re just trying to help them get through it by loving on them and boosting their confidence. 💥⠀⠀

Here’s where it gets even cooler... we have always talked about using the next door room for a big hangout & study area for teen girls since many of them don’t have a great room to do homework, learn & and thrive in. 📚⠀⠀

⠀⠀
So I knew we needed more funds. I am very protective of my family time lately and say no to most things these days. So I even remember praying “God... I need a grant. I don’t know how to write grants and certainly don’t have all the free time to research and learn and could really use help. (it’s usually quite the process and can be very time consuming)- so I prayed to find either a great grant writer or anyone that could help. 🙏🏻⠀⠀
