A DECADE OF OPENING POSSIBILITIES.

THE TOUR RETURNS. 🎾

In 2016, we began with a commitment: to create opportunities for Indian wheelchair tennis players to compete, grow and imagine a future in the sport.

Ten years later, those possibilities have taken shape through grassroots participation, national ranking tournaments, coach and junior development, advocacy for a voice in governance—and a dedicated home at DEUCE Tennis Center.

IWTT is proud to have helped shift the paradigm of wheelchair tennis in India. Our work connects access to play with competitive pathways and participation in the decisions that shape the sport. Together, these efforts are building an ecosystem where players, parents, coaches, volunteers, institutions and supporters have space to express themselves and contribute.

This December, we celebrate that journey with the return of TABEBUIA OPEN 2026—our seventh edition and IWTT’s 13th AITA National Ranking Tournament.

🏆 ₹3.5 lakh prize money
📅 1–5 December 2026
📍 DEUCE Tennis Center, Meluru, Chikkaballapura

To everyone who has played, questioned, contributed and kept believing—thank you for helping open these possibilities.

Come watch. Cheer. Be part of the journey.

Same Game Same Passion.

“For the first time, thanks to the Sports Code, there is an opportunity for players to get in.”

Sania Mirza and Mahesh Bhupathi are among the players who have put their names forward for the Sportsperson of Outstanding Merit (SOM) positions at AITA, each with a vision for where Indian tennis should be a decade from now.

The Centre’s 2026 rules require national sports bodies to include at least four SOMs in their General Bodies, a provision that could lead to players having a voice in the decisions that shape the sport, possibly for the first time.

Throwback to the 2010 Asian Games in China 🇨🇳🇮🇳

In the very first round of mixed doubles, we were down match points. Somehow, we fought back and few days later, I was standing on the podium with @mirzasaniar Sania Mirza, winning a Silver Medal for India. 🥈🇮🇳

In the team event, @sdevvarman Somdev Devvarman led the Indian team to a Bronze Medal. A true leader and fondly called thala for a reason🥉, alongside Karan Rastogi and Sanam Singh.

Looking back, I realise how special those opportunities were — some journeys stay with you forever.

Forever grateful. 🇮🇳❤️

Elections are a process. Accountability is the real test.

AITA can announce elections, appoint committees and create task forces — but the bigger questions on transparency, finances and governance still need credible answers.

When the matter is before the Delhi High Court, independent scrutiny matters more than internal narratives.

Indian tennis deserves transparency, accountability and real reform — not just announcements.

Governance first. Tennis first. Players first. 🎾
