There are life goals that inspire, and Rachel Ojuromi's is one of them. This 22-year-old Nigerian woman went from recreating luxury fashion shows on the streets of Lagos, Nigeria, to walking the Chanel runway at Paris Fashion Week 2026.

It all started with videos posted on Instagram, where she showcased secondhand clothes and recreated designs by renowned designers. Her creativity caught the attention of Matthieu Blazy, creative director of Chanel. He commented on one of her posts and invited her to participate in a fashion show.

One of the videos that boosted her recognition was published on July 4, 2026. In it, Ojuromi recreated a Chanel collection on the streets of Lagos, with a proposal that combined elements of high fashion with Nigerian cultural identity.

On October 5, 2026, she debuted as a Chanel model at the Grand Palais in Paris, during the presentation of the spring-summer 2027 collection. There she wore a reinterpretation of the traditional yellow wool suit
