Nothing makes you feel your age quite like getting out of the water from a heat and hearing a teammates kid chanting “Go parents!” from the shore 😂 the cutest motivation we’ve ever had.

Day 2 of training for the @sdsusurfteam Alumni Contest I surfed with @nicoespi who’s on the @wsl_longboard Challenger Tour and got my butt kicked! Find out who wins our next heat in Part 2 when we found better peak down the beach!

Also it looks like I was aiming for that kid/spraying them on purpose but I just wanted to make sure I had the speed/rail engagement to punch through the wave and have no chance of losing my board into them. They were amped on us surfing(moslty nico in hindsight) and I talked to them later about avoiding rip currents and stingrays. It was all good with them 🤙
