Semester wrap-up, the YPAR way. ✊🏽 Across our district, Youth Participatory Action Research came to life through powerful, site-based celebrations and final presentations. At Lincoln High, YPAR Collective teachers and their Ethnic Studies students showcased their culminating projects during Big Night. At Clairemont High, a YPAR Collective teacher facilitated her class’s end-of-year presentations, highlighting months of inquiry and action. At Morse High, ELA teachers integrating Ethnic Studies hosted the Acts of Resistance showcase — lifting up student research rooted in voice, identity, and community change. From classroom inquiry to public presentation, students stepped into leadership, researching real issues, analyzing systems, and proposing action. And the impact? Over 300 students applied for the State Seal of Civic Engagement this semester. Proud of our teacher collective. Grateful for our students. This is what youth voice in action looks like. #YPAR #EthnicStudies #StudentVoice #CivicEngagement
