The GFRC stroke of luck happened again 👏
Torrential downpour before and thunder and lightning ⚡️ after. But between 6:00-6:35, we were in the clear.
Thanks to everyone that came out tonight. It really was a beautiful run.
Just an FYI: sun is down by 6:30 and reflective wear and/or headlamps will keep us all visible and safe for the following weeks to come.

There is something special about lifting eachother up. About celebrating the wins, big and small. About being witness to someone’s accomplishments, joy and happiness. That’s what this day was all about, celebrating a person who put so much time and effort to do something really big. Against all of the people and circumstances that doubted her or gave her reason to question herself, let’s just say this: she did it, she proved people wrong, she proved everything right to herself and in that process I saw immense and beautiful growth in a friend who has been there for me in more ways than one ✨

Chloe, you are an indomitable spirit. You have always exemplified resilience and beauty, even with mud AND sparkles on your face. Real work takes grit, it takes focus and you’ve got it, no questions asked. Looking back a few years ago, I would have never guessed that we’d both have accomplished the 46 within a few months of each other. It has been one of the greatest journeys that I’ve had, to “get back out there” despite a lot of reasons not to, but the best part of it all was that we were able to develop our friendship into something unbreakable. The moments we’ve had and shared are ones that I will always keep close, they’ve given me perspective, made me cry, made me laugh and made me appreciate you as a friend and trail partner more than words can describe. With that, I can’t wait for the next adventure, the next endeavor and then next batch of trail “snackies.”

Let’s hit the trail again soon ✨

Happy Tuesday!
And it was a glorious one.
Temps are cooling down and sunlight is limited. This makes it a pretty sweet time to pull out the fleeces and sweats.
Don’t forget to bring them with you to hang comfortably after the run. Also headlamps and vests will be needed soon too.
