Throwing it back to where it all began! 🎬✨
This was our very first music video for our debut single “Angel” 👼🏽—written by Cheri’s father “RD”, arranged by the late, great Alphonso “Doc” Walker 🎹, and managed by Sean Singleton. Shoutout to Sean’s cousin, Jarrod Bunch (who was playing for the New York Giants at the time), and our record label, Showcase Records, for pushing the vision! And let’s not forget our bodyguard A-Dubb, seen in our music video walking us in to our audtions and who made sure nobody stepped out of line or messed with us! 🛡️💯
Back then, this song was spinning on 93.1 FM in Cleveland, and the video aired on BET’s video countdown shows! Friends used to call us non-stop saying, “Hey! I just heard your song on the radio!” or “I saw your video on BET!” 📺📻💥
Since it’s Independent Artist Month, @independentartistmonth it’s important to remember that your foundation matters in everything you do. People ask me all the time, “Why do you still post this old stuff?” It’s simple: you can’t move forward in life without a strong foundation. These are the archives people need to see!
From winning the “Music Prodigy Award” at The Legend Awards to taking home “Best Singing Group in ‘94” at The Greatest R&B Legends Music Awards Show—we were just 10 to 14 years old, sounding like grown women and paving the way! 👑🎶
We want to show the youth that you can achieve greatness no matter your age.

We are BLACK MEN!.... We build.... We don’t tear down other BLACK MEN! .... We have felt the pain of being torn down and we have decided we will be deliberate about building others! If I didn’t tag you please don’t be offended. I tried to pick people I thought would do this challenge!! All too often we men find it easier to criticize each other, instead of building each other up. With all the negativity going around, let’s do something positive!! 💪🏿Upload 1 picture of yourself...ONLY you. Then tag as many brothers to do the same. Let’s build ourselves up, instead of tearing ourselves down. If tagged, don’t disappoint us ✊🏿🙏🏿
