POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

4 individual medals, 3 team medals, no world champs because of my neck, 3rd overall in sprint, 5th overall in the end. 2022/2023 had a lot going on.

It was my year to see if there was still joy in luge for me. Long answer is full of contractions: sport is beautiful, painful, exciting, maddening, empowering, etc. Short answer: yes.

The season isn’t over for me yet. I’m running on fumes, but we still have work to do. Thank you to everyone who sent speedy vibes and supported all of this along the way! Team USA has something special behind it🇺🇸

Yeah, they did great!
11th place at their first Olympic appearance
We all knew that it’ll take every single run they can get to adjust to the new sled and to the track they haven’t had many runs on. The spontaneous journey to Park City for training with @jaysonterdiman was great!
They were aware that they had to take it run by run, even through the Olympic race up to the Team Relay. They stuck to the plan and improved every single run. It paid off today. Their 11th place finish a great result!
I’m very excited for the team relay tomorrow. @far.quhar.son @mazdzer @zdigregorio and @seanhollander will represent the USA well in the Team Relay 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 #usaluge #luge #filuge #olympics #beijing2022 #beijingwinterolympics2022 #teamusa #nortonabrasives #dowchemical #duluthtradingco #creaform3d #stratasys #aeroworks_eng 📸 @mareksgalinovskis

They let 600 athletes in the white house on a self guided tour. I'm fairly certain nothing was broken

Halfway there

First half is all finished up now get to relax for a week before we start back up in Germany. This year has proven to the most challenging one yet. Ended the first half with two solid runs and couldn’t seem to find any speed in them, this is always a pretty frustrating feeling throughout the season but at least the consistency is falling into place which is very promising for us. This week they have changed the Olympic qualifying process which in turn has made it so the USA will almost certainly only qualify 1 sled with every sled only taking their best 4 out of 7 races instead of all 7 counting. In the next two weeks we will find out who that American sled will be out of the 3 doubles team in the running right now.
