Annapolis⛵️

We’ve been hearing that for years. “You have to go to the boat show there just once. It’s unlike anything in the world”. So we (and every other sailor in the world it seemed) made the pilgrimage to Maryland this October. And damn, did it not disappoint.

This week something for us was reignited. The pilot light was on but nothing this year had really put that major spark back into our little cruising fire. Life had gotten in the way, land has gotten annoyingly comfortable, and our Indigo has only been a weekend warrior as of late.

We met sailors. True sailors. People that share the dream, the dread, the passion. Other real humans that you have talked to for years through a little glowing rectangle, but after meeting them you realize that this is your tribe. Your kind of people that you can only hope and pray you meet in an anchorage on some distant shore. God knew that if He plopped a bunch of scallywags in one port for one weekend, magic would happen. And it did.

We could talk freely about leaks, cabin configurations, how varnishing teak is a pain, how much solar you really need, the best place to drop anchor in different ports and ya know things that matter. We truly found community this week. And we could not be more grateful or in awe.

We are thankful to Annapolis, to sailing and to our new found friends who made this week one we will never forget. Summer Camp Buddies Forever. Cheers & Fairwinds from SV Indigo ✌️

It’s BUBBLES SEASON! 🫧
Three regattas. Three countries. One season built to chase Bubbles the way Alex would have wanted.

Grenada: Nov 21–25
We kick things off with raft-ups, racing, challenges, Youth Day, and a few days of pure Chasing Bubbles chaos.

BVI: Dec 28–Jan 1
Your host - @sv_kleos
This one is special. We’re taking over the BVI for New Year’s and ringing in 2027 with a full-on NYE party alongside your fellow @youngcruisers brothers and sisters. Sailing, celebration, and one very good reason to start the year somewhere warm.

USVI: May
We close out the season with more racing, more ridiculousness, more time on the water with local kids, and one last chance to chase Bubbles with the crew.

Come for one. Come for all three. Just come ready to sail hard, laugh harder, make some new friends, and help keep Alex’s spirit moving.

Registration is open now at ChasingBubbles.org/regattas !!!

Another Annapolis Sailboat Show in the books!

We don’t come for the boats, we come for the people. This show feels like summer camp in the best possible way - a reminder of just how amazing the sailing & cruising community is, and the best reunion with friends old and new. Let’s run it back next year!
