POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Been inspired by a lot of posts lately to start a reading journal for 2025, so here it goes! 🫶 Not super artistic & very much an uncertain amateur, but I'm ready to track my books (kinda) ✨️aesthetically✨️

I've tagged a few people who inspired me to start. 💛 (And there are so many more whose journals/posts have inspired me to switch up my content & pursue more creativity going into 2025, so thank you!)

Slide 3 is my current method. Effective & great for on the go, but not too visually appealing & not ideal for compiling all my stats together at the end of the year.

I was tagged by the lovely @booksta.babe and @sunflower_library to try my coffee and current read challenge! My first sip and flip post - how fun?!

Since I'm not a coffee drinker, I'm currently sipping on a sweeeeet shirley temple and flipping through The Lost Bookshop by Evie Woods! This book has already been so magical with the most charming characters. My mom gifted me this book for my birthday and I'm so excited to finally give it a try!

I've tagged some of my booksta friends for the challenge, but if you want to give it a try - consider yourself tagged!

🌊☁️ 𝒜 𝒞𝓊𝓇𝓈𝑒 𝒯𝒽𝒶𝓉 𝐸𝒸𝒽𝑜𝑒𝓈 𝒜𝒸𝓇𝑜𝓈𝓈 𝐿𝒾𝒻𝑒𝓉𝒾𝓂𝑒𝓈 ☁️🌊

“What if the person you loved in every lifetime… was also the one who ended it?”

Evelyn remembers all her lives, and in each one, Arden is her love and her death. But this time, she’s determined to break the cycle.

“Because that’s the thing about humans - we leave traces of our souls everywhere, as unique and identifying as fingerprints.”

✨ QOTD: Do you believe some souls are meant to find each other in every lifetime?

This was our March book club pick hosted by Sea (@seas.library), and I was honestly so happy to finally get it off my physical TBR ✨

I loved the concept of this, tragic, cyclical love across lifetimes, but I found myself wishing the story went deeper. The writing is poetic and atmospheric, but the pacing and character connection didn’t fully land for me.

⭐⭐⭐✨ (3.5/5)

🎧AUDIOBOOK REVIEW: AGNES AUBERT’S MYSTICAL CAT SHELTER- HEATHER FAWCETT🎧

4.25⭐️

I read this for our fun book journalers book club here on booksta, can’t wait to see everyone else’s journal page! Give me a DM (or our host @seas.library if you’re intrigued about the club 🤭

I really enjoyed this one, probably around the same amount as Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries (and now I’m excited to carry on with that series!) BUT I’m surprised because I wasn’t really feeling this one at the start, it took a while to get going…

Side note: I really didn’t love the audiobook narrator, I feel like she must’ve just been chosen for her French accent (which was nice to hear on our MMC🤪) but in our FMC’s American accent, I really didn’t vibe with her intonation, and I might’ve even rated this higher if I read physically!

ANYWAY, the plot was very fun, and more action packed than you might think after it’s ‘cosy’ marketing, but I was invested! It has a trope that I really enjoy when done well, I won’t say what it is because it’s a spoiler! 🤫

Havelock and Agnes’s relationship was entertaining, I enjoyed their bickering back and forth and Havelocks awkwardness (and his humorous dislike of the cats) 🐈‍⬛

Speaking of the cats, Banshee was my absolute fave! The way Agnes cared so much about saving stray cats was so sweet and kinda reminded me of my best friend so I loved that 🥹

All of the side characters were great too! And even the building itself felt like a character, with its shifting, and the magical bakery oven! Struggling to think of things that I didn’t enjoy with this one! Just wish I’d had time to read it physically rather than listening!

❓Are you into cosy fantasy!?

✨JOURNAL WITH ME✨

Hope you enjoy my little ‘journal with me’ reel, creating my review spread for Our Infinite Fates by Laura Steven 💕 @laurasteven

BEFORE YOU GET MAD, the book I’m destroying was a misprinted copy that I had to get replaced because it had pages missing 😅😅 but I’m ngl it felt kinda great cutting up that book cover 😈

(And I will use the rest of the pages for journaling and collaging at some point in my life I’ll bet)

P.s apologies for my chest peeping into shot every now and again 🤣🤣 I wore a crop top so I wouldn’t get my sleeves in shot and ended up with my boobs in shot instead 😒😒

Anyway… I had fun with this design! What do you think??

I read this book for a new book/journaling club I’m part of here on bookstagram run by @seas.library , were chatting about the book on fable and will all share our journal pages when we’re done too 🤭 Thanks for inviting me to join!

[FULL REVIEW IN MY NEXT POST- SPOILER: I LOVED IT]

❓Do you prefer ‘journal with me’ reels or nice flat lays of the finished spread? :)

WOMEN’S H(er)STORY MONTH

taking a second this month to acknowledge the women who actually built the world we live in. women’s history month isn’t just a calendar thing. it’s about the voices that were ignored, the pioneers who were written out of the narrative, and the women today who are setting the standard.

unfortunately IG only lets me tag 20 accounts so, i’ll @ the rest in the caption:

🪄TRILOGY CHALLENGE🪄

i was tagged by my friend @bookcrows last week to do this challenge and i figured now would be a good time to get to it🤭

QOTD: What's your favorite trilogy?

💫Show a trilogy you look forward to reading:
The Founders Trilogy by Robert Jackson Bennett

I read the first book last year with my fantasy bookclub and I absolutely adored it! The setting, the writing, the plot: everything just fits so well with what I love to read.

💫Show a trilogy that you love:
The Locked Tomb by Tamsyn Muir

Now I know that technically this isn't a trilogy but the fourth book isnt out yet and we don't even have a release date so until then it's a trilogy!!! If you know me, you know that this series is one that I love with my whole heart.

💫 An underrated trilogy that more people need to read:
Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor

This trilogy singlehandedly brought me right back into reading when I was around 14 and I will forever be grateful for it. This was the OG romantasy okay!!!! It has a great magic system, incredible worldbuilding and a love interest that's to die for (literally)🤭

I love trilogies so much, so I'm always on the hunt for more! If you have any recommendations, please tell me!! Also, I tagged some people of who I'd also like to see their trilogies for (because I'm nosy🫣)
