it’s been one month since my biggest publication of my career & here’s my thoughts: I revisited @thebroadmuseum last night for the first time in 2 years since my runway in 2023 and was wow’d by the mutual respect from the executives who are now open to listening to my ideas in future partnership, Me ? A kid who still is so lost being heard by a multi billion dollar company ??? It’s funny, sometimes when I think of my life and the way Jesus has crafted it so far . I’m so stubborn and not the best listener so I feel like I don’t deserve wins. I feeel delusional half the time i struggled with this publication — fear of fame fear of being in public eye fear of people perceiving me a certain way without even knowing me. “Status comes with expectation” but I’ve learned that my purpose is creating, solely to see what I can do for others. A platform means someone’s listening. What I do and say matters. And I want to be known for is always loving well and sharing the gifts God gave me through this artistic ability always pointing ppl back to the realest version of themselves Social media is so funny you see a number in thousands & immediately think that no one really saw your project and then you take a second moment to google what 70,000 people actually look like if it wasn’t online, & just laugh about it. Ppl come and go, regardless of your success. I’m grateful I was given a voice & the idea lived outside my brain. These flash mob runways are my form of communication if you’re curious about who I am and what I’m up to go and watch one of my 4 runways, I communicate quite loudly through my artistic direction. & It’s true, I’ve never released clothes ever. I’m not a clothing brand nor am I a designer . I’m just a painter continuously wiping my canvas clean with new ideas . This is my amusement park & I’m still the building rides that belong in my own Disneyland. lol the avg person didn’t read this far But someone who is obsessed with originality and who values purpose, did & to you, I hope you’re well - you have an attention span that can comprehend knowledge keep going something soon
