Best Things I Ate In September
I can’t believe we’re already into October. September is the last of summer and I had so many good meals. I had a chance to meet up with several friends to break bread and it was nice to take several lunch breaks from work. There were several new spots and several repeat places that I can’t quit either. From amazing Omakase to introducing friends to Pig’s Trotter to enjoying a good Burger, here are all my favorite things I ate in September.

You know who they are and you’ve seen them at the @seattlecenter Armory and Washington State Fair, but have you stopped in for some of their fudge and other sweets? @seattlefudge has been in Seattle and Seattle Center for 45 years and they’ve been making the best fudge in the Seattle.
Seattle Fudge makes the fudge in loaves and they make 10,000 pounds of fudge yearly. They have different flavors including seasonal specials and all the fudge is made on marble tables, so you don’t get the graininess from other fudges. It’s local and high quality and it’s all handmade.
The Seattle Center location also offers ice cream, taffy, cotton candy, caramel corn and so many other sweet treats.
When you’re in the Seattle Center Armory or at the Washington State Fair, make sure you stop by for some fudge or something sweet.

In the wake of this weekend’s tragedy I want to take a space on your feed to highlight the heroism of our neighbors @seattlefudge . In the midst of panic and chaos they acted with incredible bravery, opening their doors to shelter strangers during the shooting & likely saving many lives. I know I personally am beyond grateful to live in a world where people like them exist. To first look towards protecting others while fearing for your own life is a rare thing in this world.

They will be closed for the next few days as their family and their staff process and grieve.

It’s no secret that being a small business (no matter how established) is made or broken by incredibly tight margins. Summer is normally a high season for them with the influx of tourists visiting Seattle Center. In the wake of these events that traffic will almost certainly slow, even beyond their closure this week.

If you’re in need of a sweet treat, I encourage you to visit their online shop to show your support of their family owned slice of Seattle history.

Wild Inner Child ❤️‍🔥

We were waiting for the fountain to turn it up, for a moment we timed it and we thought it would, so I whipped my hair back and forth to pair it with the fountain that never returned.

However, the pictures turned out way better than I imagined hehe

This week we made our way to the Tacoma Holiday Festival and treated ourselves to one of our favorite holiday must-haves, Seattle Fudge! 🍫🎄 From rich classics like chocolate to fun flavors like orange creamsicle, there’s something for every sweet tooth. Naturally, we had to try a bit of each!

Fall Activities to do in Washington! Visit the Issaquah Salmon Days Fair. This year it was held on October 5-6, 2024 in downtown issaquah.

On Saturday morning, there’s a parade to kick off the event before checking out the salmons! There’s many booths from food, beer garden, and shops to check out. Also live music and scheduled programs. This year there was a dog rescue adoption and dock dogs competition that we checked out. ♥️ A fun event for date night or with the whole family!
