A little taste of Japan, followed by something sweet! 🇯🇵🥭✨

Our first Bellevue Japan Day! Loved the incredible taiko drum performance and all the cute anime finds. 🎌

And of course, we had to end the day with dessert at the newly opened Makkee Dessert! Their Mango Pomelo Sago and Peach Gum Lotus Seed Milk were the perfect sweet treats. Creamy, refreshing, and not too sweet. 🤍

A pretty sweet weekend in Bellevue! 💕

Rainy Seattle nights call for cozy dinners ☔️🍢

Found a spot where the kids were happy AND the grown-ups actually got to enjoy dinner too — always a win.

We ordered a little bit of everything:
🥩 Braised pork bone — super tender with plenty of meat
🍢 Wagyu skewers — the kids happily ate them plain
🔥 Lamb, beef & chicken gizzards — our must-orders
🥒 Cold noodles with sesame sauce — so good with all the grilled food
🍆 Garlic eggplant — smoky, garlicky, and totally nostalgic

There’s just something about sitting inside with a table full of hot skewers while it’s pouring outside.

Rainy season in Seattle doesn’t seem so bad when dinner looks like this. 🤍

Wilted blooms, golden light, and my two little girls. 🍂🤎
Even flowers past their prime can make the sweetest backdrop for a memory.

Tulips are finally in bloom 🌷✨

Endless rows of color, soft spring light, and that fresh, earthy air — it honestly feels like walking inside a painting. Seattle really knows how to do spring.

1.5 years of sweetness celebrated at Haidilao 🎂🍅✨

The sweetest little birthday lunch for our girl 🤍
We kept it simple this year and took her to Haidilao for her 1.5 year celebration, and it honestly turned into the cutest memory.

Their weekday lunch special is only $24.99, which made it such a good family-friendly treat without feeling over the top.

We did a tomato broth + mushroom broth, which was perfect for a toddler. Warm, cozy, and easy for her to enjoy with us.

My favorite hidden combo lately:
🍚 rice + cooked beef slices + tomato bits from the sauce bar + a tiny splash of soy sauce = the most comforting little hot pot rice bowl.

The sauce bar is always part of the fun too — fruit, snacks, DIY dipping sauces, and watching her pick out her own little favorites made it feel extra special.

And of course, don’t forget to ask for a toy or little gift for your toddler 🧸
She held onto hers the entire way home and absolutely did not want to leave 🥹

Sometimes the best celebrations are the simplest ones — good food, warm soup, happy giggles, and making sweet little memories together.

Weekday Haidilao lunch dates with toddlers just hit different 🤍

At the end of February, @little_words_big_art @sherry_yaru we hosted a children’s art auction that truly belonged to the kids 🤍

From creating to curating, from raising paddles to the final bid, every piece carried pure imagination and fearless expression. The brushstrokes of three-year-olds — raw, instinctive, and honest — felt like contemporary art in its most authentic form.

Thank you to every young artist, parent, and friend who supported us. Your presence turned art into a bridge for our community and allowed creativity to give back in a meaningful way.

We will be reaching out to families regarding auction proceeds soon. If you’d like to further support our future art programs, we are deeply grateful.

Art is not just an outcome — it’s the beginning of a child discovering their voice.
See you at the next one ✨

💃🏻 Looking for a runway buddy for my little girl at Seattle Fashion Week!

👠 Ever since she walked in last fall’s show, she’s been asking every single day when she can go back and walk the runway with the “pretty big sisters” again 😭✨

👶🏻 After her first show, she became so much more confident — standing taller, walking proudly, and no longer shy in big crowds.

📍 Ages: 3–18 welcome
📷 Audition: 3/1/2026
🎉 Final Show: 4/4/2026

No experience needed — just come try! 💗
If selected, kids will get trained by professional runway model teachers, and for the final show they’ll wear beautiful designer dresses 👗

Such an amazing way to build confidence and capture their growth.
After the show, my daughter even started getting kidswear collabs — every time new outfits arrive, she’s glowing in front of the camera 🥹📸

Eastside mamas — anyone want to carpool to class together? 🚗✨

Of all the winter miracles, the luckiest one might be spotting a moose while watching the snow fall ❄️🦌
