Four hours. One dance floor. A whole lot of sweat. Last night, our UDF community took over the dance floor @thealibiroompike and danced until we literally couldn’t dance anymore. People came from different studios all over Seattle—some old friends, some brand-new friends—and somehow, within minutes, it felt like we had all known each other forever. We laughed, we sweat, we shook everything we had, and for four straight hours, we let go of whatever was waiting for us outside those walls. I spent a ridiculous amount of time making the playlist for this night and sprinkled in a little Dolly because I wanted her spirit to be somewhere in the room with us: her joy, her heart, her authenticity, her reminder to LIVE OUT LOUD and be exactly who you are. And you guys did. You opened your hearts. You opened yourselves up to the people around you. You danced with strangers. You became friends. And at the end of the night, we gathered in a circle, held each other close, and felt all of the love as we swayed in gratitude to I Will Always Love You. Honestly, I don’t think I could have dreamed up a more perfect ending. THIS IS WHY WE DANCE. Dance loud. Love big. Be yourself. 🦋💖 UDF COMMUNITY Keep moving with Alexi #urbandancefitness #urbandancefitnesswithlex #seattledance #dollyparton #dolly

MOVE WITH ALEXI A new name. A new little logo. A new chapter. And somehow it feels like it’s been here all along. For the past 6 years, you’ve known me as Urban Dance Fitness with Lex. What we’ve created together has grown into something so much bigger than one class, one format, or one workout. It’s about movement, connection, confidence, joy, community. It’s about showing up exactly as you are (just like Dolly!), moving your body, sweating a little (or a LOT), laughing, learning, and leaving feeling a little more like yourself. So I’m excited to officially introduce MOVE WITH ALEXI — a home for all of the ways I love to bring people together through movement. Dance and fitness classes, private classes, kids, families, special events and whatever comes next. MWA is also a little nod to my initials, just scrambled, because apparently I’ve been moving things around my whole life. I want to honor where this all began. Nicole Ellis, the founder of Urban Dance Fitness, created a format that changed my life. Without Nicole, and without UDF, I simply would not be here doing what I’m doing today. The music, the movement, the energy, the freedom, the community — UDF is in my heart and in my body. It is part of how I learned to teach, connect, create, and move people. And while names and chapters may change, that spirit doesn’t disappear. It lives on through all of us- instructors who continue to teach it, the dancers who carry it with them, every class, song, and person who discovers something new about themselves through movement. I feel incredibly grateful to be one of the people carrying that energy forward. And what better way to celebrate a new beginning than with a HUGE dance party this weekend?! 🪩 If you’re coming, tag @MoveWithAlexi in your photos, videos, stories + dance-floor chaos so we can fill this new little corner of the internet with the people who made it what it is. If you’ve ever moved with me — in a class, at a party, with your babies, your kids, your friends, or anywhere in between — welcome. You’re part of this. This party is just beginning. Let’s MOVE. ❤️ #MoveWithAlexi #MWA #UrbanDanceFitness #UDF #SeattleDance
