©️ When I first started collaborating with a local organic grower, I loved the brief, free reign!
(Not free range😁)

Clients come in all shapes and sizes from all walks of life.
The kind I prefer gives you the space to scribble outside the lines.
This first piece, 'oyster mushrooms' kicked off an organic relationship where I was free to keep researching and developing artwork in my own style.
The mushroom is an astonishing organism. Science is only just beginning to scratch the surface of their health benefits. The more I read, the more I created often working into the early hours, but this is my process. Once awakened, I can't shut it off.

Here, we've taken the primary design and sublimated it onto organic cotton using water-based dyes for a minimal impact on the environment.
Lisa worked tirelessly to ensure she minimised our footprint, and I think she has pulled a rabbit out of the hat, preserving the integrity of my original a3 artwork! No detail or colour has been lost, which can so easily happen when translating original art through p.c. to surface print.
I don't trust anyone else with my artwork! Lisa totally understands my work she treats it with sensitivity and respect, her quality control, and understanding design, making sure the end product is a quality item.
I can't thank her enough!

I'm so pleased with the way these have turned out!
The Atlantic mackerel is in serious decline due to overfishing.
Even the mackerel you're eating from tins will probably be sourced elsewhere!

From the pages of my sketchbook to fabric, Lisa really did a fantastic job of translating my art onto fabric (as usual)
But the care she took over my artwork has preserved their integrity perfectly 💘 the fish seem to shimmer, and the vibrancy is stunning!
I love collaborating with Lisa because she totally understands my work! I can't thank her enough for the care in preserving every line, every shade and tone!

There’s a new coffee spot in Whitley Bay inside a tattoo parlour!

You can find @seawolf_coffee at their coffee hatch or inside Electric 1920 Tattooing just a two minute walk from Whitley Bay metro station on Station Road.

It’s a lovely spot for a takeaway drink or to sit in at the coffee bar. They also make chocolate milk by special request! 🤭

📍Flock, Park View: newbies to Whitley and a very great addition (bonus they do wine & small plates on evenings)

📍Wombat Wisdom, Park View: sit in or takeaway, they also sell their specialty coffee in store

📍Rustic Cup, Park View: great for an early morning as they open from 7.30am

Moments of joy in the North East, fuelled by deliciously good food 🍕🥐☕️

1&2: pizza night is always a good idea, especially when it’s at @crustsocial.tynemouth with one of your besties 👏We got the Prosciutto and the Goats Cheese, and of course split them both

3&4: is there anything more wholesome than picking wildflowers on a sunny Sunday morning just minutes from Bamburgh Beach?! if you fancy this for yourself, @bamburghwyldflowers is the place to go 💐

5: the ultimate post yoga refuel includes a flat white and a slab of banana bread, and gorgeous coastal vibes from @regularjoscoffee ☕️🌊

6: finally made a trip to @uncles.panuozzo for one of their popular (and huge!!) Italian sandwiches 🥪 this was the Palermo and perfect to enjoy on the fish quay

7,8,9&10: my favourite place to spend the summer is up in Northumberland and there was no exception when it came to sunny days. Lots of beach walks and brekkie at @baitatbamburgh 🥓🍳

11: another new coffee shop ticked off the list, this one being @seawolf_coffee ☕️ tucked away near Whitley Bay metro, grab a coffee to go and head to the beach

12&13: and of course I fed my almond croissant craving with a stop at @thesustenancesociety and this beauty was everything and more for the ultimate start to the day 🥐💫
