Bodydreaming ~ Ectone
Sunday 25th October 🌚

To listen curiously is to allow everything in, without resistance.

When we truly listen, rather than simply hear, we listen with the whole body.

The body becomes the receiver.
The conductor of the energy we both emit and receive.

As we re-member, we begin to awaken the sensing, perceiving and knowing that have always lived within us.

Bodydreaming is a space to slow down.

A space to listen beyond what is already known, and into the in-between the space where ambient and experimental live music can meet.

We’re delighted to be at @autmhaus in Hackney Wick, where your experience begins with access to the sauna and plunge before we journey into sound together.

Once again, we’re partnering with the spatial audio pioneers @parametrica_studio , creating an immersive four-point sound system that allows the music to move around and through the space.

BODYDREAMING — ECOTONE
The space between 🍁

For our final gathering of the year, Bodydreaming enters the ecotone.

Bodydreaming is a deep listening experience. A pause, rest and space for connection in the midst of the pace of modern life.

The topic we are exploring is the space where different worlds meet.

Where forest becomes grassland. Where river meets sea. Where nature meets the city. Where one thing dissolves into another and something new begins to emerge.

THE JOURNEY

1.45pm — Arrival
2–4pm — Sauna, cold plunge + live music
4–6.30pm — Extended live sound journey
6.30pm onwards — Ambient sound continues into the evening.

We are a growing community of people who value deep listening, human connection, analogue experiences and the space to simply be.

Come as you are, awaken the senses. Step into the space inbetween.

Landing back from a really magical @medicinefestival with the most excellent crew. I’m so grateful to all of my incredible friends who made this time so special. I also got to sing on stage with my fave @nessigomesmusic on the anniversary of my dad’s passing. Her music carried me through his last days and his death and to be able to then share a song for him next to her on that day was so serendipitous. Thanks Nessi, you have no idea how special that was for me 🙏 until next time @wasing1759 ❤️🙏

We Loved This Moment! 🤍

@sonajobarteh showed her big personality in this playful moment at Soul Revolution 2025. During her set, she challenged the Soul Rev family to lift the energy - and we’re proud to say we absolutely delivered🔥

This was a truly historic performance for us: Sona was our first-ever African act, and she set the bar sky-high. Her music was mesmerising and infectious, performed with world-class mastery… it was also her reflections between songs - on philosophy, colonialism, and family - that moved so many of us. Deep, insightful, and captivating.

We would love to welcome Sona back in the future, and we know many of you feel the same 🎵

Here’s to many more powerful, heart-opening moments on the Soul Revolution stage this year ✨

For years I found myself losing me in the pursuit of connection.
Well-meaning efforts… but the same ending every time.

One break-up in particular cracked everything open. I’d spent the whole relationship tending to her needs and wellbeing while barely acknowledging my own - or tbh even realising I had any.
And despite the many red flags, the connection I was getting (and the fear of losing it) kept me hanging on. And to me, ending it would = failure.

I even tied my self-worth to being chosen by someone with a bit of fame/status. If she wanted me, then surely that meant I was worth something… and if it ended, what did that say?

Then she ended it. And honestly, it became one of the most important lessons of my life.

‘We Don’t Need To Lose Ourselves For Love’ is the picture of a much healthier relationship - where both people’s needs, independence and imperfections are honoured, and where love never requires us to disappear just to keep it.

Sharing the Artwork I painted for George Montagu’s debut EP, The Canonbury Sessions , released on Spotify & You Tube , released yesterday .
It’s been a tough year , and a while since Ive painted properly … and this piece marks a welcome return to the canvas for me .
Inspired after The Way of Play retreat , where George was hosting Fireside sessions. Ive always been a musician & flute player as well as an artist … jamming round a fire is literally my favourite thing to do . On returning home , I had a transcendental experience listening to one of his songs that was about allowing creative spirit to flow freely , and felt the urge to release perfectionism & paint in a more free flowing way. When I play flute , its very intuitive & free flowing … whereas painting is more designed & precise , so I guess it makes sense music would unblock my creativity.

In the composition of the painting I incorporated the Awen , the Druidic symbol for creative inspiration flowing from Spirit, which shines down in 3 rays of light from the Sun, touching his mind, heart & hands. A wild wind flows through his breath for air , he’s literally on fire … and an ocean wave of music surges through , rooted in the earth. I really enjoyed honing in on the portraiture , capturing the emotive essence of the song.

Although the EP Art is released , I’m actually continuing to paint on the piece , & will share a finished image & prints next week .

Getting involved with singing for the Canonbury Sessions was a joyous experience , it was super fun to be in community singing these songs together … I think that transmits in the videos . They are now live on Spotify You Tube ….take a listen !
