Exhibition texts express the focus or limitations of an exhibition. They express affinity and aspire to produce the cosubstantial materials of curiosity and understanding. There are catalytic effects between words and the conditions those words are placed. The work is to find categorical identities that sharpen significance and without meandering into tedium.

Double Feature is an exhibition of two or possibly more exhibitions. While some would argue that increased information decreases the economy of attention, here imminence will be a higher love. Art is not a God of authority or acceptance but one of deduction, observation, affinity and raffination. To be repulsed is a magnetism of its own significance.

A stone soup?
A pedagogical instrument?
Pegasus lifting the sun from its slumber?

- FR

DIVISAS is the low fi ambient punk electronic project of Sebastian Jarpa. Based in Paris (for now) but hailing from Buenos Aires, with a few self releases out, DIVISAS often likes to fall off the radar. sometimes puts out DIY shows wherever and whenever is possible and likes to eat apples.
His music was once described as +minimal daydreaming+. On his own words “that sounds pretentious“ & “everyone should go and listen (the short lived english late 70s post punk group“ REMA REMA.
DIVISAS - “TONITE WE ARE GONNA REST IN SEPARATE DITCHES“ new EP out on 24.05.

///////////////////////////////////

EUGENE BLOVE @eugene_blove is a multi-faceted French artist who’s connecting the dots between brooding abstraction, electronic aggression and wistful Neo-folk in the most captivating way. Thrashing all protocols to explore the fragmented whereabouts of modern (dark-)pop and dysfunctional electronics, Blove beckons us onto a path of cathartic abandon and deep inward gaze.

Eugène Blove is an artist of the SHAPE+ platform for innovative music and interdisciplinary art, co-funded by the European Union and Pro Helvetia.

///////////////////////////////////

AUDREY CARMES @audrey_carmes is a composer and artist based in Paris, France. Having graduated from the Paris School of Fine Art, she found herself drawn towards the city’s experimental electronic music, developing a sound practice that she combined with her poetry and writing.

On her spellbinding debut album Quelque chose s’est dissipé, Carmes creates spacious worlds that shimmer with subtle intricacy. Inspired by krautrock, ambient and avant-garde electronic music, the French artist draws on a range of sonic elements to create her own distinct blend of sound design and composition.

Beginning a new series of concerts at DOC starting this AFTERNOON monday April 21 2025

AUKIÑ is a mapundungun (the language of the Mapuche people, natives of la Patagonia) word that means ECHO.

ECHO
1. : the repetition of a sound that is caused by reflection of sound waves.
2. : the sound that is due to reflection of sound waves.

AUKIÑ was also a publication that echoed the Mapuche struggles, and it was run by mapuche people in exile in Bristol, UK during the late 70s and 80s, at the height of dictator Pinochet regime.
