Our newest enrichment addition from @kitty_lawn

Something different for Apollo & Artie to sniff, explore and investigate indoors

Homemade catsicles

One of my favorite ways to turn a little extra hydration into enrichment, especially during these hot summer days

Lick mats are probably one of the easiest enrichment activities in our rotation. Add their favorites, spread everything out and suddenly treat time takes a whole lot longer

Feel Good Friday: Adoption update on Atermis (formerly Putney) & Apollo (formerly Peru) ❤️

Their family shared this sweet update:
“It’s been a little over a month since we brought Artemis and Apollo home, and they are doing amazing! They’ve adjusted so quickly and filled our days with so much love, laughter, and energy. Apollo is our sweet snuggler (on his own terms, of course) and loves napping in the sun. Artemis is our curious adventurer—always exploring, cuddling, and keeping us on our toes with nonstop energy! Both love going outside on their harnesses now that they’re fully vaccinated. They’ve already learned to sit, and Apollo has mastered giving his paw. We truly couldn’t imagine our home without them.”

They went on to share how grateful they are for the staff and volunteers at HSoMC:
“The adoption process was smooth, everyone was so kind, and it was clear how much they cared about every animal. We were even able to adopt our babies in the evening and come back the next morning to pick them up once our home was ready. Thank you for helping us find our two perfect additions!” Follow along for more Artemis & Apollo updates at @secondchancewhiskers on Instagram, Facebook, and occasionally TikTok.

Please help us create more happy endings like Artemis & Apollo’s. Every donation gives another pet the chance to find their forever home.

Zeus got to go on a walk yesterday morning thanks to our aviator harness from @theparrotuniversity

This is his 2nd walk with the harness as we are still desensitizing him to it. We use millet while on the walk to correct him anytime he tried to chew, he did very well this time we were able to walk a mile 💚
