This summer, I traveled to Chile for one of the most fascinating projects I’ve had the privilege of helping bring to life.

@secrettable and I were brought in by The Consciousness Foundation. I served as lead producer and strategic advisor for an intimate convening of researchers across contemplative science, neuroscience, psychology and human consciousness.

The question they came together to explore was a big one:

Can we build a rigorous science of awakening?

For several days, the group explored how lasting shifts in our experience of self and reality might be defined, measured and studied scientifically.

What stayed with me most was what happened between the people in the room.

A gathering like this depends on much more than the agenda. The rhythm of the days matters. Trust matters. So do morning meditations, meals designed to spark unexpected conversations, time in nature, laughter, celebration, and enough room for people to simply be together.

Part of my role was designing that container. Another part was holding it once everyone arrived.

Reading the room. Guiding transitions. Solving challenges quietly, often before anyone knew there was one. Knowing when to step in and when to disappear. Staying calm when a lot was happening behind the scenes so everyone else could stay present to why they came.

That part is hard to photograph, but it can change the entire experience.

The group itself moved me. Brilliant, curious people with very big hearts, willing to sit with difficult questions, challenge one another, and stay open to how much we still don’t know about being human.

I’m deeply grateful to Katie, Josh, Morgan, Alicia and The Consciousness Foundation for trusting us with something this meaningful. To our hotel partners for the warmth and care they brought. And to Luna, who worked alongside me on the ground, for having my back and bringing so much of herself to it.

I came home reminded why I care so much about this work: bringing brilliant humans together with intention, designing and holding the space well, and creating the conditions for something to happen between them that none of us could create alone.

On Thursday May 16th, 60 entrepreneurs, practitioners, investors, and many others with a professional interest in the emerging psychedelic space gathered together on the outskirts of San Diego at the @sanctuaryofyum and shared a magical evening of food, connection, and lively discussion.

It's a privilege to work alongside superhero client partners to collaborate on events that facilitate impactful connections and remarkable results.

This is precisely what we've been fortunate to accomplish with @giovannimarsicoofficial and Archangel since 2017, when we hosted their VIP kick-off party for their multi-day mastermind. From that moment, we knew we had struck a chord, and we've been on this incredible journey ever since (pausing for the pandemic, of course).

Earlier this year, our team at @secrettable and I orchestrated the three-day Archangel Council gathering in San Diego. This event brought together a meticulously curated group of some of the brightest entrepreneurial minds in North America.

I can vividly recall our initial Zoom call with Giovanni, where he expressed his desire to feel like a guest at his own event.

He wanted to show up fully present, relaxed, and in his zone of genius - unburdened by any stress or distractions - to deliver maximum impact to all the participants. Having produced and hosted hundreds of events over my two-decade career, I knew what it meant for Giovanni to entrust another team with such a significant role.

We were honored to be given the opportunity.

In the ensuing months, we meticulously curated and designed every facet of the three-day experience. And it was, indeed, magical.
