Ōtautahi DJ Hunter is playing Hang the Saints at Neck of the Woods tonight so we asked her what makes a music venue a third space for you?

“A music venue is a third space for me because I have the opportunity to be social or to be anti social. I’m always either on the dancefloor the whole night or I’m bouncing between the smokers area. Spaces like these give me the opportunity to be myself with no expectations!”

Sect presents: Hang the Saints

Neck of the Woods
Tonight 10PM till late
Tickets start $10

Brought to you by SPAC3S - a collaborative project of independent venues.

3rd Spaces Music Series is supported by the CRL Sponsors - the NZ Government and Auckland Council.

A favourite of the Tāmaki electronic underground, @cellphii’s range covers everything from cyclonic techno grooves to immersive primeval ambience.

Born in Sabah (Borneo) and Tāmaki-based, there’s a depth to cellphii’s work that’s immediately apparent, a sound guided by feeling rather than formula. Drawing from organic atmospheres and dub-wise rhythms, her sets are guided by a sense of curiosity and deep respect for the producer’s craft.

Catch @cellphii at MIND ERASER, this August 8th at @whammybarauckland
