The City Village is with you Mikey!

Our own Mikey Chaves is bouncing back from a tough week.
The whole academy in all its glory jumped in to help pick his spirits up with some awesome messages of encouragement and prayers this week from all age groups, players, coaches and parents.

Mikey has inspired many as a role model on and off the field with his never say die attitude and skill, for club, school and country.
We know it'll be a battle but we believe you're mentally prepared for the journey ---but if you stumble, the "City Village" will be there to support.

Wishing and praying for as smooth a recovery as possible.
Looking forward to seeing you back out there.

City Strong 💪🏽 with Mikey!

The City makes a clean sweep on matchday 3 of RBYL.

City FC recorded 3 wins out of 3 last weekend in their @republicbankofficial youth league matches at Moka grounds.

On what has been a tough playing surface, given the dry and dusty weather conditions, the teams were able to come out on top relatively unscathed.

U14s defeated Belmont AFE 8-0.
Doubles from midfielder Matthew Lee Young & defender(& converted winger at some pt) Jude Correia led the team.
There was further goals from joint team-leading scorers Reagan Rowe and Jeremai Nanton (each with 4) as well as one apiece from Lucas Shaw and birthday-boy Jaren Chase
Despite the score line, the @belmontafe team continued to press on and give their all in every play as best they could. 🙌

That same day our U20s may have been disappointed not to get a sweat going as they won by default versus a no-show by Santa Cruz FC.

On Sunday, the U16s came up against new boys Project Pro, coached by a familiar face in former Academy coach @pauliedontplay. They proved to be a more challenging opponent and made the City boys work hard for their victory via a 3-0 scoreline.
Defender Shane Telfer notched his 2nd in 2 games to open the scoring and was followed by Harland Samuel and Nadeem Grant --- who scored his 4th for the season.

This weekend will prove some sterner tests for all our teams at the same venue.

The U20s start it off at 1pm on Saturday vs Boyce SC (@b.s.c.club)
And the U14s taking on debutants @dibedragons later on at 3pm.

On Sunday, the U16s have an early top-of the table clash vs @proseriesevents at 11am

Best of luck to and a safe matchday toall the players and staff this weekend.

RBYL rolls into Round 3.

The City had a mixed bag of results last weekend in the @republicbankofficial youth league.

In very dry & hot conditions, the U-14 youths battled against a determined Cardinals FC team who capitalized on defensive lapses and ran out to a 3-0 lead before winger Jeremai Nanton reduced the deficit with a double before the half.
Unfortunately it wasn't enough as Cardinals held off the comeback attempt to win 3-2

The u-16s couldn't make it 2 wins in a row as they were held to a 2-2 draw with a nippy Santa Cruz outfit. Thankfully it was the defenders who stepped up on the score sheet in the 2nd half to capture a point on the day, with goals from wingback Shane Telfer and the equalizer from Shea Dolly.

The U-20 squad wrapped up the weekend and able to come away unscathed with a 5-0 victory over Cardinals. A hattrick from midfielder to Caden Trestrail and single items from Luke Correia and Steven Griffith meant they maintained their solid start with another clean sheet as well.

This weekend at Moka once again, the action continues with the following fixtures:

9th March
⚽U14 vs Belmont AFE -- 9AM
⚽U20s vs Santa Cruz FC -- 9AM

March 10th
⚽Project Pro vs U16s -- 9am

Special thanks AGAIN to the awesome work by Dirk from @bcreative78 and the awesome images as usual 🙌🙌🙌

RBYL leagues wrap up this week.

The last few weeks have been hectic with some nail-biters along the way.
The u-15's finished 2nd in their group and u-20s topped theirs, as they both await their opponents in the national quarterfinals this weekend.

The u-13s and u-17s have some work to do later today to confirm their qualification, with victories needed to qualify.

U-13s tackle IATF at CIC grounds for 4pm today
The u-17 squad will play Police at the Barracks at 5pm today as well.

Come out and support our youth Parkites today!

The Football Academy also had its opportunity to have their own internal tournament at the Oval during our Member's 8-a-side.

The U-6s to U-14s were in action twice per week with a competitive, but most of all, fun environment for them to be a part of.

We look forward to having them back out there to further develop on and off the field.
