Community. Community. Community.

The older I get and the more shit I get into the more I value community. I’ve always loved my people but seeing that love purée back into hits different.

Community is not always the people who share the same blood as you. For me it’s @misskallday who I met in fourth grade. It’s @brittany______ann who I met in middle school. It’s @edevendegies who I met through Kathleen my second year in Kuwait.

It’s all these beautiful people with beautiful souls and genuine love and care for me as a person. My thoughts. My ideas. My execution (or sometimes lack thereof tbh). They are there.

Through every cycle. Through the many versions I’ve been they have been the most beautiful an wonderful part of me and I’m missing helllaaa people but this making me emotional. We need each other and I love that.

Hug on your community. Shout them out. Reciprocate the love. If you don’t have it- build it. 💜

Completed my first official 10k today, at the @kcmarathon! 🏃🏾‍♂️✅

Just 3 months ago, if you would’ve told me that this is how I’d be spending my Saturday morning, I would’ve laughed you out of the room. Distance running was never something that I was fond of, but over the past couple of months it has become one of my favorite pastimes. Largely in part due to my @runitblakc fam! The comradery, the vibes, the inspiration.. this group is unmatched. I truly appreciate the push from everyone that comes out.

Now that that’s out the way, I guess we can gear up for 2025. A minimum of three 10k races and the half marathon back in KC 👀🤔? We’ll make that look like easy work. 🥱

If you haven’t already, get active today. Then come out and join the crew next week. Happy Saturday, mfs!

T. R. I. Stands for Train Recover & Improve

I want to change the way people see fitness.

Moving your body is one part of working out but recovery is the way we make sure heal our bodies after breaking them down after our training.

Combining our low impact training with recovery allows us to improve quicker & see the results we have always wanted.

1st class is free on me! DM to get more info!😁

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!?! 🤯🤯

Today is the DAY y’all!

In honor of Summit Day ONE we’re sharing a little #BehindTheScenes 👀

Our #1 reason why ticket holders were drawn to this event was because it’s created BY WOC & for WOC💚

The 2nd top reason was because of our WOC community 🥰

Over 75% of our Together Thriving community found us through Instagram & speaker referrals 🙌🏽 shoutout to our amazing speakersss!

AND in the past 30 days we’ve almost doubled our IG following!

We couldn’t have gotten her without y’all’s kind words, cheering us on online & in person, and for all of you BEING here in this space🙏🏿

✨We are SO grateful for you, our community members! 🌿

Whether you liked a post, donated to our crowdfunding campaign, got a ticket for you mom, or shared this event with a friend… it took a VILLAGE and we're honored that you were a part of it ☺️
