Ares has been seriously misunderstood. ⚔️

We’ve inherited this image of him as an angry, bloodthisty God of war, when his energy has so much more to teach us about being human.

Ares reminds us that there are times when anger is useful. There are things worth protecting. There are boundaries worth defending. There are moments when keeping the peace actually means abandoning yourself.

Ares’ energy sits so beautifully alongside Heracles and the lessons of courage we work with during Heracleia. Courage isn’t the absence of fear. Sometimes it’s being absolutely terrified and deciding that what matters to you is worth moving toward anyway.

This month, we’re askin ourselves where we’ve become too comfortable, where we need to speak up, and what deserves more of our fire. 🔥

We go much deeper into Ares, his worship, symbolism, relationship with Aphrodite, and how we can connect with him today in the latest episode of Living Hellenism with @seekingnumina and me.

🏛️ If you also want our FREE Living Hellenism Starter Kit, comment HELLENISM below and we’ll send it straight to you.

ANCESTRAL PATHWAYS CONFERENCE 2026
ONLINE WORLDWIDE
Update: Revealing some of the speakers and more!

As every year, the Ancestral Pathways Conference will take place between October 31st and November 3rd Completely Online.

This year, our live Zoom session will be held on the final day of the conference, November 3rd.

Due to personal reasons, the organizing process is moving a bit more slowly this year, but the conference is definitely happening, and we can now reveal the first names of our speakers:

Morgan Daimler

Elyse Welles

Benjamin Stimpson

Emiliano Russo

Anna Urošević Applegate

Robin Corak

Robert Anderson Plimer

Daniela Simina

Gülçin Önel

Ness Bosch

Kallene Resse

Avi Lago

Corah Aplonia Avalon

I am certain we are going to have a very special conference because the theme itself is so special!

This year's conference will explore the survival of magic and the sacred at the crossroads. We will explore concepts such as diffusion, acculturation, and the evolution of magical practices, folklore, and spiritualities across territory and time.

We will explore traveling deities, shapeshifters, guardian spirits of travelers, and possible traditions born from converging spiritualities.

Of course, we will also explore survival as a key theme: the survival of gods and other immortal spirits. We will examine the multiple aspects of spirits and their adaptation—perhaps in new territories.

Do you still want to present this year? Get in touch! This is the final call for proposals.

SPONSOR US!

The Ancestral Paths Conference aims to continue growing and offering a first-class Event. To achieve this, we welcome sponsors interested in collaborating with us and supporting our excellent conference.

Sponsors could be Individuals, Companies, or Organisations.

From Witchy/Spiritual Shops, Crafters, Pagan/Spiritual Publishers, Organisations or Communities that wish to use our platforms as a window for their work, products, authors, projects, etc.

In this newest episode, @seekingnumina and I talk about how to connect to the land spirits and how not to be afraid of the fae. Having discernment is important, but there’s not need to be afraid. It’s also easier connecting to the land spirits than you think. #fairy #fairies #fae #land #nature

The earliest known named author wrote poetry dedicated to a goddess. Thousands of years later that connection still feels incredibly powerful.
