Flickers Photo Dump!
So many friends and wonderful memories of Flickers.
I always wish I had taken more photos.
Thank you to everyone who came out to see Proxy. Thank you to the incredible team at @flickers.riiff . Thank you/Merci/Gracias/Bedankt to all of our new friends from around the world.
Also BIG thank you to Tim at Model Club, who is not just the agent for Lia, Jean Marie, and myself but also was crucial in helping to cast Proxy and is just the nicest most down to earth agent we could ask for.

When I originally started this post it was about the nearly overwhelming imposter syndrome I experienced at Flickers… and then I heard about the passing of the amazing, kind, thoughtful, beautiful, talented, Dolly Parton. At first I didn’t want to post at all… but I think she would want me to celebrate my friends, my team, this incredible festival, and all the art. So, here we are. RIP Dolly you were one of the best in every way.

The most common question Mikel and I are asked is “What would you like to drink" but the second most common question is “How do you work together as CoDirectors”
Truth is, it just works. This filmmaking friendship came about very organically. We met on set and we just kept working together in different capacities, learning about each other, building knowledge and trust. There are things that one of us is better at than the other, and there are some things we both do... And sometimes Mikel makes me pose for pictures with the camera.
You can see our new film Proxy at @flickers.riiff screening at 9pm on 8/8, and 2:30pm on 8/9

also - BIG shout out to Harold our Camera OP who is an absolute BEAST shouldering the camera for long takes like it’s nothing!

What a wonderful honor tonight at the @loisweberfilmfestival. @dustin.teuber won Best Actor for his role in our short film, "The Rewind." Congratulations, Dustin! This is much deserved recognition for you talent and hard work.

Diane Porter and I were also presented with Best Director awards for our collaboration. Our immense gratitude to our cast and crew without whom none of this is possible and who are the real magicians brining these crazy ideas of ours to life.

The Rewind premiered this past weekend AND we brought home an Outstanding Achievement Award!!!
Plus we had a great time doing it! It was incredible to have so many of our cast and crew attending the premiere, they didn’t even make it into the photo!
(We did get a serious picture as well… but this one is better)
Thank you to @mass_iff and the @shawnafoundation for an excellent festival full of outstanding films.

If YOU want to see The Rewind, our next screening is May 4 at @strangemaynard film festival
