“I am home in the arms of the armed,” 2022, Boston, MA in collaboration with Morgan Golden for the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum Photographer: Golden | @goldenthem_ Collaborator(s): Morgan Golden & Golden | @thegoldenspread @goldenthem_ Styling: Morgan Golden | @thegoldenspread Lighting: Golden | @goldenthem_ Makeup: Golden | @goldenthem_ Creative Direction: Golden | @goldenthem_ Photo assistant: Persephone Allen | @txakolinaa — To introduce A DEAD NAME THAT LEARNED HOW TO LIVE in its specific I have to start at the beginning. The breath before the dazzled decenent, before chosen & blood links, before the word friend & family resided. Always you’ve been there; heartbeat to my side, strut to my scamper, the brother decking in my every battle, my Twin. There are not words to describe what being in this body beside you has meant to me. As I study our childhood photographs, the self portraits of us in the home, I’m always amazed at how we grow & give hell to history, love past the edge of dawn. I hope you know everyday you are no small genius–a mountain in every mold, a majesty & a maker, a true true friend. Claim it! This world is yours cus we say so. The weapon is you because you belong in the wind. No sky, no heaven, no precipice measures against your flight. Golden, wearing a green off the shoulder top and green patent leather pants, hugs their twin, Morgan, wearing a green sweater, green bodysuit, and green patent leather pants. They both embrace, facing the camera, while standing on top of two wooden chairs in the Dutch Room of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Green wallpaper and works from the collection can be seen behind them.
