I can’t believe I only have to wait two more months to marry my person! 🥰 To celebrate, I have to show off more of the incredible engagement photos our dear friend Marth took of us last Thanksgiving. We are so grateful 😊 now back to panic checking my check lists 😂

What started as a job at 20 years old, fresh out of college, became a staple of my life for the next decade.

We celebrated every birthday, football game, heartbreak, end of the night, and early morning at the bar. Often saying, “All good things end at Jake’s/Gin Mill.”

These bars gave me so much more than a paycheck. They gave me friendships I never expected, regulars who became friends, coworkers who became family, and relationships that became a part of my life far beyond the walls of the bar.

I can’t put into words how grateful I am for the company and the people who have been a part of this chapter. Every time I left, they welcomed me back with open arms. There’s something special about having a place that always feels like home, no matter how much time has passed.

Of course, there are a few things I won’t miss: the broken nails, thigh bruises, ruined clothes, dollar bills spilling out of every bag I own, and watching the sun rise through the Uber window on my way home. 😂

But I will miss the people more than anything. The relationships built over the years, the familiar faces, the inside jokes, the chaos, and my good mornings. You can’t replace that.

And, of course, I’ll miss shaking a booty cheek behind the bar and always having a place to land. 💃🏻🥂

I don’t know exactly what’s next, but if these ten years have taught me anything, it’s that the best things in life are the people you meet along the way.

Here’s to the end of an era, a lifetime of memories, and whatever comes next. The best is yet to come. ❤️‍🩹🍾

Got tired of underestimating myself and being underestimated, and helmed a massive project last month for @tastybite x @maneetchauhan !

I often spend most of time thinking about how much farther I have to go in my career, and not enough time appreciating how far I’ve actually come. Thanks to Seb for always reminding me lol. There is still much I want to do and the work continues but I’m super proud of this milestone!

Don’t worry, I still struggle with believing in myself but I say “yes” to opportunities, regardless of how much they intimidate me, anyway.

Thank you to the splendid photographs by @seenbymarth and to @cerconebrown for having us! Can’t wait for the next one. ✨
