Today I travelled all the way to BRITAIN for my pelicans.

YUP, BRITAIN (Well the embassy is foreign grounds😂😂)

But yes, I went to the British High Commission for Commonwealth to have the conversation about opportunities and issues affecting UWI Students.

Safe to say, the connections created for UWI Mona Pelicans are GREAT!

Yesterday, I was given the opportunity to deliver the Youth Response at the ‘Wah Gwaan Africa’ Conference. It was indeed an honour.

Meeting with my JUTS family once more and the African royals was an experience that I will never forget. As soon as I stepped foot into the room, I felt a sense of familiarity and comfort that I had not felt in a long time. It was as if I had finally found my way back home.

Meeting the African royals was a whole other experience. The level of respect and honor that they commanded was palpable, and I felt incredibly fortunate to be in their presence. It was a humbling experience that reminded me of the rich cultural heritage that I come from.
It was like I had lived this experience before and we had an instant connection that was undeniable.

The whole experience left me feeling grateful for the opportunity to connect with my JUTS family again and meet African royals. I felt like I had been given a gift, one that I would always hold dear to my heart. It was a reminder that no matter where life takes me, I will always have a home to come back to, and a rich cultural heritage to be proud of.
