Still riding the high from an epic day at Yours & Owls, where the Horizon Rising stage was stacked with some seriously good local talent.

Huge love to @abandcalledyearn , @flanneletteband @lightyears_aus, @silvialaneband, @earlgrayband , @loose_surface , @segajade_ and @bigmodernband for bringing it. Consider us very proud locals.

We also made our way through HUNDREDS of serves of fairy floss, which, judging by some of the faces we saw on Sunday morning, may have genuinely saved a few lives after a very big Saturday 😮‍💨

But one of our favourite parts of the day was chatting with so many of you. About banking, about music, about life, and yes, confirming many times that we are, in fact, LOCAL local.

For heaps of you, it was your first time hearing about Horizon Bank. So, hi 👋 We’re a local bank, and backing the communities we call home is a pretty big deal to us.

Music and the arts, sport, education, healthcare, local organisations and local people. We’re here for the South Coast, and you’ll keep seeing us show up for it.

And we’re not quite done yet…

Tomorrow we’re announcing which Horizon Rising act has scored a $2,000 grant on us, PLUS one lucky person who voted for their favourite act is taking home $500 just for having their say.

For years we have been watching videos of shows at Lazy Thinking, wanting to play there. Last night, we finally had the opportunity to get loud and chaotic at Lazy Thinking with a bunch of bands we love.

Much love and respect to the staff of Lazy Thinking, the bands who joined us, and to everyone who came and enjoyed a wonderful afternoon / night of live music.

Do I need to say it guys? Actually, do I need to say it? Voice. To. Text. Thank God/the source for every personal connection that has somehow fallen in front of me because everyone is awesome it’s really fun meeting people in real life that kind of just exist on Instagram or YouTube… my favourite band Special Features now exists outside of my iPhone 14 Pro how crazy is that?
