It’s with great honor and deep horror to announce that my new film HUMANS ARE SHAPES will have its world premiere at @outfest on July 26 <3 opening for the film DREAMBOI which I can’t wait to see. Huge thank you to Outfest and @gabisgrossman for supporting my work over the past 5 years, it means so much to me.

HAS is the final film in my “Ether Trilogy” after Love You Forever and SMOOTH. It’s a neon-noir/forbidden romance/grounded sci-fi film about a pair of aliens who had come to earth in search of the most profound version of human love and found it between my sister and I. They took over our bodies to experience our lives as their own kind of roleplay, until vulnerability to anti-trans violence and romantic feelings between the aliens changed the course of their relationship. In order to avoid taboo and find more viable forms of safety on earth, the aliens make a devastating but necessary decision to make a new life.

Performing 3/27 in LA at Garm Khaneh Nowruz benefit! @sehseiyah (fka Bedroom Witch) is an LA-based musician who blends industrial stylings with enigmatic pop experimentations to narrate her ethereal inner worlds. She grew up with traditional Iranian folk music, which has influenced her sonic architecture. Her music derives from cinematic affection, and her poetic lyrics draw from the eyes of an angel as she ascends towards catharsis— a space where heartbreak, horror, and heaven collide.
