"This time it's For Good!"

Those were the words ringing in my head last night as I packed my suitcase. Our home in Bend is almost ready to leave. Our new home in Pennsylvania is getting ready to close, and the season has changed. "This time it's for good," seems appropriate, and yet the implication is inaccurate or at least incomplete. That phrase carries with it the weight of finality... like "This is the end of an era." Maybe this is the end of a season, but is that even what those words mean?

"For Good" simply means what it says! It's for our GOOD, our benefit, our growth, the list goes on. Whether it feels final or not isn't the point. It's for our GOOD. I can rest in that because the God who knows and loves me is always at work for my GOOD. It's good for only one reason ... because He is good!

So if you're in a season that is shifting and you wonder if it's "For Good," I'll just tell you that it is. It absolutely IS for your good, and that's an environment where hope can thrive.

Central Oregon - It really has been good!
Lititz, Pennsylvania - I'll see you soon, and I know it will be good ... As long as this flight can get off the ground:)

Whether it's "Turn the page," "Start a new chapter," or any other cliche implying new things are ahead, they all fit. There's health and purpose in every season. It doesn't always stay Winter, and it can't always remain Spring or Summer. Kids don't stay 5 years old forever, and though the days may have felt long, the years sure have flown by.

But here's what I've learned in my own 48 trips around the sun. There's Grace for every season and strength for each moment, provided that I choose to lean into the Grace Giver. He knows the way that we take and absolutely nothing is hidden from Him. His grace is still amazing. His truth is unchangeable. His mercy still feels new. His love remains constant. His justice is swift. His plans are good. And His favor is for me... and for you.

Because all this is absolutely true, I will rest well knowing that the God who held me and my family yesterday, sees our today and already knows our tomorrow. In reality, God is always doing new things. The question remains, "Do we see them?"

With that, "Pennsylvania ... Ready or not, here we come!"

This is too good not to repost! Whether in one area or in all twelve, in what areas are you growing? In what areas am I dropping the ball? I had to tag some of my favorite leaders because people are always following, whether you always see it or not!
