This weekend was one for the books, technically and hypothetically lol 📚👩🏻‍🏫🐛🧠 This was one of the most incredible classes I’ve ever taken… and not just because of what I learned, but because of how it made me feel, and this one feels different. To the @lashapothecary team: THANK YOU for continuing to innovate, never settling, and creating pathways in this industry. The education that was poured into us; the kind where you can tell they don’t just teach this, they truly know their shit and stand behind every word of it. Nothing watered down, nothing vague, just real knowledge, real passion, and a level of detail that made everything make sense.. but what I’m leaving with goes so far beyond a certification. I’m genuinely so grateful for the connections I made, that part honestly means just as much. I could swear I’ve known these girls forever. Conversations that don’t feel forced or disingenuous, energy that flows, and a shared love for eachother and growing in this industry. It didn’t feel like competitors in a class, it felt like being exactly where I was meant to be. This weekend didn’t just add to my skillset.. it shifted my standard as an artist. 🧚 I finally woke up with a couple of brain cells today, time for my sappy post about the best decision I’ve made in my career. 💐 I am officially a plant based LED UV lash artist that specializes in lash sensitivity and allergens. Opal Free is the first adhesive of its kind to exist with a .001% risk of a reaction. That doesn’t mean it is impossible to experience a reaction, it means the chances are minimal. I now understand the different categories of risk when working with sensitive/allergic clients & have the opportunity to provide the correct care plan for your lil eyeballs. This adhesive is so safe you can eat it (I won’t be doing this but it is tempting unfortunately)! ✨ This was the most in depth course I have taken to date. I would trade every single event & class for this ONE class, it is that big of a deal. Not only did my brain gain a few new connections, I did too. I yapped with people I can see being in my longterm future. This trip, class, and product are life changing. Huge congratulations to our class, we did it!! 🥹 💐 HUGE thank you to the @lash_apothecary team for providing us with the knowledge we have been feening for since the beginning. I now understand the “why” behind everything lashes, application, allergies, & more. The amount of hard work put into this class, manual, and product is astounding and does not go unnoticed. This is what will take my artistry to the next level, I cannot thank you enough for continuing to try once more. Still trying to put this weekend into words… 🤍✨ This past weekend I traveled to Orlando for the @lash_apothecary Opal Free Certification, and all I can say is WOW. Three full days of education, hands-on training, testing, demonstrations, deep conversations, lots of laughs, late-night drives, incredible meals, and friendships that will last a lifetime. My heart is so full and my brain is overflowing with career changing information. Not only did I become certified in the Opal Free System, but I am now an Allergy Conscious Lash Artist, allowing me to offer one of the most innovative lash systems and products available today. This exclusive adhesive is unlike anything else on the market. It’s plant based, free from harsh chemicals, and designed with sensitivity in mind. The level of education, science, testing, and training that goes into this certification is truly next level. What makes this even more special is how rare this certification is. There are only a handful of artists certified in Florida and only a small number worldwide. To be part of this group is something I don’t take lightly. But beyond the certification, what I’ll remember most are the people. The best team. The best educators. The best brand. The best energy. Thank you @lashwithlight @liv_lashapothecary @self_care_studios @devoelashes for all your knowledge and support your class was amazing and making us all feel like a family Iv never felt such love from a brand before truly! The hugs, the support, the late-night talks, the dinners together, the old friendships that grew stronger, and the new friendships that felt like they’d been there forever. Weekends like this remind me why I fell in love with this industry in the first place. There is always more to learn, more ways to grow, and more incredible people waiting to become part of your story. Thank you again to Lash Apothecary for pouring so much knowledge, passion, and heart into your education and this industry. This weekend left me feeling so humbled and inspired. Being surrounded by such talented women and learning from educators and peers who are constantly pushing themselves reminded me of something important… There will always be someone doing something different, faster, bigger, or newer, but growth happens when you stay focused on becoming the best version of yourself instead of measuring your journey against someone else’s.
