Today was not only the first Group Hike of the season, it was also a day where I've been quietly remembering my momma because today is her heavenly birthday. One of the ways we can honor those we've lost is by living! Today she would've been 73 years old.

Thank you to everyone for coming out this morning for a brisk hike followed breakfast after at @firstwatch We did close to 2.5 miles which included an ascension up and over a pretty nice incline. All the families, kids, and return hikers really did my heart good.

@thatgemlex_ and I will see you all next month. Dates will be posted soon.

God Bless everyone who came to support us in making over 200 gift bags today. We appreciate you more than I can put into words. I’m not sure how I would’ve been able to pull THIS off without my community.

I can’t wait to see you all on Saturday 🙏🏽🤍

Today's hike was less about movement and more about stillness.

Spending time in nature and practicing stillness can have many benefits, including:
Stress reduction: Being in nature can lower blood pressure and stress hormone levels, and reduce nervous system arousal. Stillness can also help you separate emotions from thoughts, which can help calm your mind and reduce stress.
Improved mood: Spending time in nature can improve your mood and help you feel more connected to nature.
Better listening: As you learn to be more present, you may become better at listening to others.
Increased self-awareness: Stillness can help you hear your intuition and increase your self-awareness.
Improved sleep: Stillness can help improve your sleep.
Increased creativity: Stillness can increase your creativity.
Empathy: Reflecting on others' experiences can help you feel connected to others and create a better world.

Blessings to everyone and see you next month!
