THIS is a moment worth celebrating. Janet Champ’s induction into The One Club for Creativity’s Creative Hall of Fame is a recognition of an extraordinary career.

We’re honored to share her words as she celebrates this incredible milestone with the creative community, her peers, collaborators, and everyone who has been inspired by her work.

For those of us lucky enough to know Janet as both a creative legend and a dear friend, this one feels personal.

Congratulations, Janet. So deserved. So overdue. And so wonderful to see. We love you.

There are careers that leave a mark on an industry, and then there are careers that help change its direction.

Janet Champ’s induction into The One Club for Creativity’s Creative Hall of Fame celebrates one of the most influential creative voices of her generation and, in our eyes, an honor that has been a long time coming.

From her early days at Wieden+Kennedy to her groundbreaking work for Nike, Janet has built a career around finding what she calls “the real, unexpected, unspoken truth.” Her work changed the way brands spoke to women and showed what advertising could be when it connected to something bigger.

Her iconic "If You Let Me Play" campaign remains a defining example of advertising’s ability to transcend the page and screen and become part of a larger cultural conversation.

Congratulations, Janet. A true legend. A place in the Creative Hall of Fame feels exactly where you belong.

And then they slip back into the darkness. Back into Solitary Confinement. Back into Protective Custody. Hello Darkness my old friend.

This is ironic because while the Sound of Silence is about society’s failure to communicate, The Gathering restores the entire thesis of in-person real life human interaction, something that has been desperately been needing resurrection in this digital and hyper-consumer generation.

The Gathering brings out The Best, The Rare, The Obscure, and for me, The Exclusive. The Kicks/HI Dunk has never been worn before 20 August 2026. We celebrate the stories and connections to sneakers, people, and the community it creates at this annual Flagship Event in Portland, Oregon. I brought them out for one time only. For 7 hours, they got the business for the first time and were in good company.

I can’t say enough about The Gathering being an impactful experience for so many people that we have been able to connect with. Being an integral part of the effort behind this event, and then seeing the smiles, the conversations, the excitement, the fulfillment, makes all the long hours and literal sweat all worth it.
•
And then breaking out the special pair for that special night for those special few hours, I know I made the right choice. I know I won’t regret the scuffs. I know I won’t regret the heel drag. I know I won’t regret a thing, because now they have a story to tell of that night.

For Don (@kicksigma) it’s hard to determine which came first : 🏀 or 👟

Over the years he’s pursued his passion for both. Most recently completing and sharing his AMAZING ‘Posite collection. He has also helped with ITSTM since before it was even named.

Did your interest or passion for something else also help curate your path in sneakers?

For some it’s sports, music, a big bro (or sis), etc.

Tropico (2013) is Lana’s iconic short film that blends her Paradise EP with a cinematic story of redemption.

Thank you @honeymoon for sharing your creative thoughts, your beautiful words and your melodies with us. This era was truly unforgettable.

Thank you to the brilliant director @anthonymandler , cinematographer @daviddevlin.dp and editor @selis for transforming these visions into a breathtaking cinematic experience.

Everything from the lighting to the transitions is pure art.

And of course, thank you to the incredible @shaunross for bringing Adam to life alongside her so perfectly.

Forever grateful to the entire crew who worked behind the scenes to make this masterpiece a reality.

This is Andrew and Steve. They had just met in person at the first “Gathering” back in 2023.

It happened because Steve had messaged @aaron.ac.cooper about flying out just to get him a coffee. This prompted Coop. Steve is several things including a Domino.

It’s also Steve’s Birthday today 🎉

Needless to say, thank you Steve, Coop, and the whole first year group for making that first year so memorable. We might not still be at it! More dominoes….

Because five years deserves a month long celebration….

We had to party in Portland too! Friends, collaborators, and family helped us celebrate on the Rooftop of the Ecotrust building. We added vinyl, tamales, margaritas, churros and a little World Cup excitement to the party and had a blast!

We're proud of the work we've created over the last five years, but even more proud of the relationships we've built along the way.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of our story—from our earliest projects to the opportunities ahead.
