Road safety work only matters if it reaches people. In Tunis, the National Automobile Club of Tunisia, the country’s FIA member club, recently sat down with the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) to plan how to take that work further.

The delegation, led by club president Karim Azzouz with Vice-President @selmizied and Development Committee chair Habiba Dridi, was hosted by ASBU Director General Abdelrahim Suleiman at the union’s headquarters.

The two organizations have worked together for several years, from the club’s pavilion at the Arab Radio and Television Festival to heritage car tours for festival guests. According to the club, their joint projects have also included a road safety awareness campaign and the Tunis Charter for Combating Hate Speech.

Next on the agenda are initiatives developed together with the FIA, including projects linked to agreements with the League of Arab States. The club says details will be announced later.

Another conference attended, and it’s time to reflect on what we’ve learned and how far we’ve come. Motorsport is where I truly belong, and I embrace these moments with passion and pride. Having the opportunity to represent my country on the world stage will always mean a great deal to me.

Technically, we haven’t been able to achieve as much as we had hoped because of the restrictions imposed by the government. However, behind the scenes, we’ve managed to accomplish quite a lot. In just one year as part of the FIA, we’ve gained invaluable knowledge, built meaningful relationships, and learned lessons that will shape the future of our sport.

We will continue to stand by our values and remain committed to sustaining and developing motorsport in the Maldives, while creating opportunities for anyone with a passion for the sport to learn, grow, and thrive.

We will always look ahead, determined to create better days than those we’ve left behind. The journey is far from over—we’re only getting started.

A heartfelt thank you to the entire FIA family for always welcoming, embracing, and supporting us on this journey. Meaningful change can only happen when we work together, and that spirit of unity is something we truly feel every time we come together under one roof. We look forward to continuing this journey with the same passion, purpose, and commitment to making motorsport more accessible and sustainable for future generations.
