POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

In 2020, shady political operatives recruited a phony "ghost candidate" to sabotage our local State Senate race here in Seminole County.

This video provides a basic explainer on how this all went down, and why it's relevant to our midterm election this year.

John Lowndes For Florida State Senate, and every single candidate provided in our voter guide at semdems.com/vote and https://semdems.com/candidatos/, are running to put a stop to corruption like this, enabled by multiple generations of Republican party rule in our county.

I’ve been a proud Floridian for 45 years. I went to UCF & FSU, worked for Disney & Florida Hospital, built an ad agency and art business that thrived in Central Florida. We raised our sons in our public school system & today both of my kids attend college right here in the Sunshine State.
I care about its future. Florida isn’t just my home, I have been participating in the growth and change of this amazing city for thirty years and I love the city we have become ❤️
Over the past year, I’ve had the genuine privilege of working shoulder-to-shoulder with Farmer Banks Helfrich on his campaign for Florida House District 25. In a political landscape full of division and noise, Banks represents the values we need most right now: affordability, kindness, and relentless decency.
Our communities are growing at an extraordinary pace, but we are the ones who have to hold the ground. We have to hold the line so that the Florida we cherish remains just as vibrant, livable, and special 50 years from now as it is today. That demands genuine stewardship of our land, real protection for our aquifer and drinking water, and policies that prevent unchecked sprawl from pricing out everyday families.
Last night in Clermont, we brought that community spirit together for a massive “Text-a-Friend” party, sending out over 60,000 personal texts to local residents. We’re asking our neighbors to get engaged, make their voices heard, and build a lasting legacy for Lake County.
Vote for common sense. Vote for stewardship. Vote for the Farmer. 🚜🌱

Guess we’ve reached page 1692 in the playbook: Claim the women are witches 🙄

And while Robert Prater is out there doing just that — Dr. @janeforflorida (a UCF lecturer) is fighting to lower the cost of living, fully fund education, and provide affordable healthcare, reproductive rights, and dignity for ALL Floridians.

Weird. Those don’t sound like the typical themes of a witch… 🤔

Starting this Monday, Oct 19 you can head to the polls and cast the strongest spell of them all: YOUR VOTE to send Dr. Jane Aman to be our next Rep for House District 37 — that’s Oviedo, UCF, and Chuluota. ✨

Because claiming women are witches? Is so 1692. 🙄 And Republicans have had nearly 30 years to do the things they keep promising to do…and instead just keep blaming everyone else in an attempt to stay in power.

It’s BEYOND time we break that spell, Florida.

✨ Fun Fact: The Salem Witch Trials played a role in US court procedures adding the guarantee of the right to legal representation, the right to cross-examine one’s accuser, and the presumption of innocence rather than guilt.

Y’know. Because after reviewing what took place? There were both individual and institutional apologies, repentance, and moments of “huh, we really messed this up and it should never happen again…” — it wasn’t until 2001, however, that all of those falsely accused were exonerated.

Cue the more you know GIF… 🌈⭐️

Seminole County voted overwhelmingly to keep our rural boundary in 2024.

But Republicans in Tallahassee like our own State Senator Jason Brodeur and appointed Attorney General James Uthmeir are looking for any excuse to overturn our votes. All to make a couple greedy developers a little more wealthy.

Our endorsed state legislature candidates will fight for our rural communities. You can learn more about each below:

They say this race is competitive, but voters in Florida Congressional District 7 have a clear and obvious choice on who will best represent them in the House of Representatives: Bale Dalton.

This video breaks down what separates Dalton from his opponent, Ryan Elijah, on two specific issues: the cost-of-living crisis and the War in Iran.

To see Dalton’s specific stances on these issues, among many others, visit baledalton.com/priorities. And be sure to follow him on his social media pages as well.
