๐Ÿ“ฃLast week MEIA published the Budget Recommendations for 2025, prepared in consultation with the Executive Committee, Advisory Committee, Subcommittees and members. The creative sector in Malta is a critical driver of economic growth, social cohesion, and cultural identity. Although the Government has made progress in enhancing cultural infrastructure, the current budget allocation creates an imbalance that restricts the full potential of the creative ecology. By ensuring an equitable distribution of resources and fostering a more supportive ecosystem for both public and private initiatives to co-exist and collaborate, these proposals seek to promote long-term sustainability and unlock the economic and social potential of Maltaโ€™s creative sectors. The 2025 budget recommendations address five core areas: ๐Ÿ”ด Increased Specific Funding Distribution ๐Ÿ”ด Tax Revisions and Incentives ๐Ÿ”ด Research and Policy Development ๐Ÿ”ด Operational Support ๐Ÿ”ด Accessibility to Creative Spaces Download full version in #linkinbio #meia #budget #arts #entertainment #equalsupport #sustainability
