You know that feeling when your stomach gets butterflies?

Hokkaido powder does that too.

That moment when you drop in, and you realize that deep dry powder it feels much better that you ever dreamed.

Some feelings are hard to explain.

Hokkaido powder is one of them. Simply unique.

It’s starting to feel cold again in Hokkaido.

The first autumn🍂 colours are already showing high in the mountains, and you can feel that winter is getting closer.

Deep powder, hot onsens and good food with good people.

Ride. Onsen. Eat. Sleep. Repeat.

Winter is coming.

Bookings for this winter are open. Come experience Hokkaido with us 🤙

Yukiumi House is becoming Yukiumi Hokkaido.

What started with one house, a hunger for powder, and the search for a better life has grown into something much bigger. More places, more adventures, and more ways to experience Hokkaido with us.

The name is changing, but everything behind it stays the same: the same team, the same passion, and the same love for this place we call home: Hokkaido.

From now on, you’ll find us as Yukiumi Hokkaido.

New name. Same spirit. Bigger playground.

Sergi makes it look so easy that it’s almost annoyin 😂

But the truth is, every move comes from years of practice, and that’s exactly why he’s able to teach it so calmly

In the end, watching someone who truly masters a skill is one of the best ways to learn

Last year for my 36th birthday I was sleeping in the back of a gas station parking lot in the middle of nowhere in Chile with Max. Pretty miserable and lonely. Eating this brownie as some kind of consolation.

Fast forward one more year and I’ve moved out my car and into my new house in Hokkaido in a great community with amazing new friends and my mom and brother visiting to celebrate turning 37 while I sling tacos I made for everyone. Because the one thing Japan is lacking is good Mexican food.

A lot can change in a year and never know without taking some chances and risks. Life’s just one big gamble.

This landing was far more challenging than it looked, strong wind, turbulence from the trees, and a lot of patience were required to make it down safely
