Une soirée comme je les aime ✨ De belles découvertes, des univers singuliers, des matières sublimées et surtout, de l’émotion. Mardi soir, au vernissage de @frenchcollectionfair, certaines créations m’ont particulièrement touchée. D’autres m’ont fascinée par leur audace, leur technicité ou leur manière de réinventer la matière. C’est aussi ce que j’aime dans l’art et le design : être surprise, parfois déconcertée, et quelquefois profondément émue. Un très beau moment dans le magnifique écrin de l’hôtel Mona Bismarck 🙏🏻 Les époques se rencontrent, et la magie opère. ✨ Déformation professionnelle ? Non, déformation maternelle 🦖 Même au milieu des plus belles pièces de design, je trouve toujours un petit quelque chose pour mon fils ❤️ Le métal, la lumière, les inclusions minérales… Un travail de la matière absolument fascinant. Je pourrais passer des heures à observer ces détails. La couleur, la précision, l’éclat… Quand le savoir-faire traditionnel rencontre la création contemporaine. Un jeu de courbes, de couleurs et de contrastes. Une création aussi graphique qu’hypnotisante 🐍 Une véritable mise en scène de la matière, une force créatrice 🙏🏻 Mon immense coup de cœur de la soirée. Il y a des pièces qui provoquent une émotion immédiate, sans que l’on sache vraiment pourquoi. Celle-ci en fait partie.

A wonderful visit to the @frenchcollectionfair in Paris, bringing together an exceptionally talented group of French designers and makers. A pleasure to see Nusom partner @redaamaloudesign exhibiting alongside @andreeputmanstudio , @erwan_boulloud , @emblemparis , @modelythibaud , @nathaliedecosterofficiel , @pierrebonnefille , @pintoparis , @serieye_ and @william.guillon , with a special installation by @harrynuriev of @crosbystudios A beautiful mix of contemporary pieces, with a glance in the rear-view mirror. Reflections of the past sat comfortably alongside forward-looking forms, materials and ideas, drawing inspiration from both what has been and what is yet to come. As always, one of the greatest pleasures was meeting the incredible artists and makers behind the pieces. Hearing their stories, understanding their inspirations and seeing how their experiences and personalities find their way into the work. It is often these conversations that bring an entirely new appreciation of what we see. Also spotted a beautiful lacquer screen by @atelier_midavaine A lovely celebration of French creativity, design, craftsmanship and the people behind it.
