Theo is five! 🎂

I can hardly believe it. My sweet Theo is halfway to 10 and I'm still wondering where all of the time went. He is such a bright light in everyone's lives and I've been told that so many times. He has a smile that can light up the world and a laugh that's contagious! He's so pure and full of joy. He's curious and loves to see how things work. I love watching him stim until his heart's content and I also wonder why certain things satisfy his brain. The way we communicate with each other feels so much deeper than what words can do alone. There's a level of understanding that transcends the need for anything to be spoken. He is still a Mama's boy and that makes my heart so happy that I'm still his comfort space. He absolutely loves his family to pieces and can't help but get excited whenever we see them. I'm extremely grateful for the ones who always show up for him and I know he appreciates it too. We are so proud of how far he has come and how much he has had to persevere; he's just so resilient. We love you so much our Theo Rio and we can't wait to continue seeing you thrive. 🖤

We all had a really nice day together!

We kicked off Theo's birthday festivities with a nice walk.

Nori found a pinecone and she said, "it's just perfect!" 🌲

I, of course, had to get a coffee. ☕ @seriouslygoodcoffee

We grabbed food from our favorite lunch spot and enjoyed the nice weather outside! 🍟 @ganleysrestaurant

Then, we stopped at @knottypinebakery to get some delicious cake pops!

We got home, watched a couple of Theo's favorite movies, and hung out for a bit.

Since he will be opening more gifts during his birthday party, I figured he might as well have one he can open today! (Spoiler alert: it's a Thomas the Tank Engine toy) 🎁

Made him one of his favorite meals: chicken pot pie! 🥧

I made him a pumpkin cake and Nori helped with the sprinkles! 🌈

(he loved the pumpkin bread I baked so I thought he would like this too (and he did lol))

We had baths, read a book, and now the kiddos are zonked out (oh and Thomas too). I always feel so incredibly blessed for every day, but today was just exceptional. I pray my sweet boy had an amazing birthday and tha

Crisis averted ☕

(But, let's be honest, I'm never skipping on a coffee especially on days when we're out and about 😜)

"That's so you!" "Me?" 🥺

Genuinely it warms my heart tremendously whenever someone says something reminds them of me. 🫶🏽

I saw this post by @selmadudakovic_ and I thought it was such a fun idea!

My husband found my old Nintendo DS and now my daughter absolutely loves playing Nintendogs. 🥺

Edit: I was wondering why my outfit/post seemed so familiar and I realized that I, evidently, was heavily inspired by @ally_yost lol. Just want to give credit where credit is due! It really begs the question of if there's any such thing as an original idea.
