My very first banner 🥹 I made this piece partly as a way to hide the music stand I use while playing with my band @serpentidifesta but also just to finally have an excuse to make a banner. Sometimes when the opportunity hasn’t presented itself yet, it’s worth it to just do it for yourself! I’m really excited about this first experiment and cannot wait to make more 😍

The design is influenced by the poster for the 2018 version of the movie Suspiria—I love the mismatched, tumbling letters and wanted to make my own version for my band that incorporates our signature snake. This was all stitched on my Chareco machine in my @buildingbok studio and sewn together by my pal & bandmate @lovecitymo. You can see it in person at our next gig!

Looking for an impressive way to showcase your business or band? Banners are great for both pop-ups or as permanent fixtures in your space and can range from small and simple to big and complex. Let’s make something cool together!

Welcome!
It’s Queerdo time again!
Would you like a vendor spot at Kensington Queer Circus Fest on Saturday, June 27th at the lovely @philadelphiabrewing ?

VENDORS!
This is always a hard thing for me. Some stuff is going to sell, some stuff isn’t, or at least not as well. Some people do stuff like this all the time, some don’t. SO this is what we’re doing:

10 vendor spots are $105 each. these are for the pros. You know who you are. We hope you clean up. We’re keeping the market small to maximize your success! But, you know, we have to charge enough so it’s worth doing.

5 artist/weird stuff spots are $55 each, These are for your art. Like you made it with your hands or feet or something and you just want it out in the world. I really want you to come out.

5 spots are for info tents for organizations doing cool stuff that relates to the theme. These are free.

BYO everything you need, 10x10 spots, tents are cool, there is no access to electricity. It will be hot.

I apologize for charging for stuff at all, we run off 90% grant funding and $1000 is another 1 to maybe even 3 events we get to put on for free for the neighborhood. All this filthy moolah is going to East Kensington Arts Committee to have more shows.

Also, if we give out an extra tent or two in the above categories, please don’t yell at me :).

What do you think?
Email creepymozzarella (at) weirdo.pizza (that’s an email) with some contact info, a link to your stuff and which kind of spot you’re trying to get. I’m going to try and get this all sorted out pretty quickly since it’s relatively soon.

If these $$ are too prohibitive, let me know what you think. I’ll see what I can do. We’re all just a bunch of artists and makers rolling around in a terrible economy aren’t we?

Thank you so much for your support as always. I hope we all have a lot of fun in June.
xoxo - WEIRDO

It’s not always sunny in #Philadelphia but winter’s end is in sight with spring only two weeks away.

Guess what else is only two weeks away?! Coincidence?! Absolutely!

Come celebrate with us anyway and quell those winter blues with @thestoneeyeband & @serpentidifesta at @starboltphilly 💃🕺
