WILL YOU CONTINUE?

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I had completely forgotten that I had backed @continuemagazine on @kickstarter, so I was pleasantly surprised when issue 01 arrived on my doorstep.

And boy, is this publication gorgeous. From the textured, matte cardstock cover, to the heavy GSM interior pages, Continue Magazine is a sight to behold. Print quality aside, the subject matter is penned and/or illustrated by titans within the video game industry. I'd be here all day listing them all but the likes of @allymhennessy, @r.ubyinnes, @alanahpearce, and @jkcrosbyfun are amongst the ranks.

Continue Magazine is reminiscent of A Profound Waste of Time, yet unapologetically Australian.

Issue 01 is available via cool cats like @pixelcrib and @acmionline. There's simply no excuse to not grab a copy. And if there is an excuse, I won't hear it!

While you're here reading this, tag @continuemagazine and tell them that they should get me in for issue 02. Just sayin'!

what i have learned from this melbourne international games week is that i do not take enough photos, i am a glutton for burnout, i love and cherish my friends, and i love video games and the people that make them

While it might be Game Over for @paxaus 2026, we will continue in 2027.
And the journey is just beginning for another gaming-related endeavour: @continuemagazine which will also be reaching a new level next year.

Honestly, after the amazing weekend we just had and the joy that this new magazine has been to read and hold in my hands, I feel like there is hope.
Not just for the gaming community and industry, but for the journalism side of gaming and print media in general.

There is a craving for simpler times. When articles were not inundated with ads on a digital screen.
When what we read did not determine the next thing that was thrown at us by an algorithm.
To have something tangible to hold and say 'This is mine.'

Technology is a wonderful thing and I use it daily, but when is enough enough?
Not only are the articles in @continuemagazine lovely to read, the artwork in it is just as mesmerising and oh so beautiful.

Well done!

Very excited to finally share: I got to illustrate a story about Sydney’s defunct SEGA theme park for the first ever issue of CONTINUE ⭐️
This magazine is an absolute work of art and I’m so happy to have been part of something so special to our Australian games community, as well as something so specifically relevant to my interests (Sonic and niche Australian video game lore) lol

I’ll be sharing the process of my illustrations in a YT video coming soon 💙 keep an eye out for that, as well as the genuine Lost Media that @sweaterjack uncovered for this story… 👁️👁️

CONTINUE is available to buy at PAX Aus this weekend, ACMI online and in store, pls support them so more can be made :) :) :)
