Guess what? We have a new short film coming up, and it’s getting its world premiere at the 30th edition of Fantasia International Film Festival, one of the most important and prestige genre festivals in the world. (And yes, I’ll be there).

Ceiling King is written and directed by moi and produced by Martin Grimlund.
It’s the story of a woman who visits her childhood home one last time and, by chance, discovers an old answering machine. It still works. On the tape, she hears a message from the past — her own childhood voice and her father’s:
”We’re not home right now. Please leave a message after the tone…”
A glitch from another time.
But when the message ends, there’s suddenly another one.

Ceiling King is a Slutet original, with support from SVT and the Swedish Film Institute. Starring Sanna Sundqvist, Jörgen Thorsson, Emma Broomé, Madeleine Barwén Trollvik, Daniel Larsson, Tj Miansangi and Maja Wallin.

Executive producers Alexandros Bakos & Petra Krigström Gentile.
