We’re out at Lake Cushman for a family vacay, and Dad, Paul, and I decide to spend our afternoon hiking! 🥾

Dad crushed his longest hike yet, coming in just shy of 6 miles with 1,100 ft of elevation gain. ⛰️ #prouddaughtermoment
P decide to trail run the decent and crushed it, leaving us in the dust, and beating us to the car by 30mins lol.

The trail was full of pretty creek crossings, ferns, wildflowers, fun bridges, happy birds, and lots and LOTS of moss.

We haven’t hiked much over on this side of the state, and it’s the best exploring with my fave peeps 🫶🏼

The beanie is out, and that’s means the fall adventures are back, baby!! 🍂🍁🌧️

Today we unlocked a new WA park: Tolmie State Park 🌊🦀🦪🍄‍🟫🌲

Had such a fun time with Momma & Dad - we went beach combing and forest trekking, then took a spontaneous side quest to the Olympia Farmers Market and Cabela’s.

And most importantly: Momma found sand dollars. A very redemptive moment cause she didn’t get a good one in Oregon last summer. 🤪

I love life in this state with these peeps 🥹

Oh hey. Hi. It me.

New Insta post (after approx. 1,000 years of not posting 🙃!) The algorithm is probably like “ur ded to mii.” But who cares? I’m back to making stuff, for the sake of making stuff!

Anyway, new family photos for 2025! @becca_eskers left for a year(ish) of international missions, and we’re all sad she’s gone. #plscomeback.

Found this in my drafts, and realized I forgot to post it!

Went to Ruston with the family back on Father’s Day for a picnic and a car show! We all had a great time, and I realized just how much shooting cars is really not my forte. It is a blast, though!

These were all taken on my Canon 5D Mark IV, with a 50mm f/1.8. That is hands down one of my favourite combos to shoot with, and I’m going to be doing a LOT more of that this summer! (Probably not cars though… I prefer people and landscapes.)

Side note: 50mm is fantastic for detail shots! If you haven’t tried that yet, I 100% recommend you do.

Oregon Coast 2025: The Pics

I realized I never finished posting our Oregon Coast trip! The last few days were so lowkey I barely took any videos, haha. Soooo, here are a bunch of photos to wrap up commemorating an amazing family vacay.

That five days felt like a dream. Such a needed unplug and reset from everyday life. Many good memories were recreated from past trips, and many new memories were made.

So grateful for the family God has given me! I love you guys…A LOT 🥺🤍

Oregon Coast 2025: Day 4

We hiked, we ate good food, we flew kites, and we hot-tubbed. 🥾🧇🪁🌅

That about sums up the pnw coastal experience - it was a simple, but great day with the fam!🌲🌊

Also, two families ended up with new kites…cause two of ours broke and landed on random people’s decks 😂😅

Oregon Coast Trip: Day 3

Happy Birthday America! 🇺🇸

We had a slow morning at our Airbnb before getting obligatory fish and chips, as one does at the coast 🐟 (except I got chicken 🤫)
Then we walked around Depoe Bay and the Devil’s Punch Bowl for a good while, enjoying the views and whale watching! We saw a few whales and some pelicans! 🐋

The guys and I spent the afternoon on the beach enjoying the sunshine and waves…and playing in the sand like 12 year olds 🤪

We ended the day with fireworks on the bridge over the Newport, OR harbor. 🎆

Overall a pretty lowkey 4th….we needed a year to rest up before we go ALL OUT for America’s 250th 🧨

Oregon Coast 2025: Day 1

The rest of the fam took i5 down through Portland, but Paul and I took it slow down Hwy 101! We hit Cannon Beach, Arch Cape, a state park I can’t remember the name of, and Rockaway Beach for before meeting up with everyone at our Depoe Bay Airbnb.

After a yummy dinner, we had Christmas in July! 🎄🎆 We’re not all going to be together at Christmas 🥲, so we are celebrating in the summer! Becca made us a Christmas tree out of random things she found, and we had a good ole secret Santa gift exchange 🎁

Then it was off to the beach for sunset. 🌅
So grateful to be at the ocean with my family. We have lots of memories here, and I’m excited to made new ones 🤍

I think this was our first full family outing since Becca got home for the summer - and we got to spend it in the sun, picnicking by the Sound, looking at cool cars, and celebrating our best (the one and only) Dad 🫶🏼

Happy Father’s Day, Dad!! You are the best Dad to all three of us kids, your son-in-law turned photography instructor, and every one of our friends over the years that you’ve grafted into our family.
I think it’s safe to say that I speak for all of us when I say: WE LOVE YOU!! 🤍🤍

P.S Stick around for the video at the end of this post…I think it’s the most “Scott & Paul” moment I’ve ever witnessed…😂😭☠️📸

Some snippets of our Christmas tree hunt adventure last month! We came across this lovely waterfall, and I just had to get a nice long exposure! Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas season and a Happy New Year! Cheers to 2025 being better than last year!
