Like many people, I started colouring my hair at home during the pandemic. It was easy(ish) and I had done it in my 20s, so I was confident in my skills. Home-coloured hair served its purpose for me at that time until the middle of last year when the constant upkeep started to feel like too much. That, combined with my preferred colour being discontinued, led me to consider maybe it was time to start having it professionally coloured again. The shade of blonde I had been using wasn’t exactly my *dream* blonde, and my root line had become really obvious. I consulted with my hair goddess, April. I’ve been entrusting my tresses to her for nearly a decade, and together we came up with a plan. The short-term pain was letting my hair grow out with a long-term goal of balayage. And while it’s not yet quite where I want it to be for balayage, I knew it was time for a refresh since no colour has touched my hair since last summer. On Sunday I spent several hours in April’s hair as she weaved both highlights and lowlights through my strands before seamlessly blending my new growth into the strands. I’m still totally shook over the difference it made. She’s a true artist! Swipe to see the transformation. Photo 1: One week ago, a very obvious line between my at-home colour and natural growth. Photo 2: Iced Diet Cokes and some mid-process snuggles from April’s sweet pup, Piper. Photos 3 – 8: Et voilà ! She’s shiny, she glimmers, she’s a creamy blonde and she’s BACK! #hair #haircolour #colorcorrection #transformation #blonde

It took stylist @session.hair multiple sessions to gently blonde the ends and frame this beautiful face with blending tones whilst still maintaining the integrity. Here how: She used 12 effects straight from the bowl, after the cut she applied Blow Dry Primer and Volume Solution, and then once the blow dry was complete she finished with glistening Argon Oil to add some shine 🙌 Try it for yourself today, all products tagged!
