$“Almond Mom” is what my daughter calls me now that she sees how unusual her parents are— Mom as medicine woman & divine feminine channel and Dad as conscious coach & shadow worker. Wonder how this plays out? It’s been messy as they have been an inspiration to our evolution but we are finding more coherence & love. There are moments now where I perceive our soul contracts and who we are to each other while laughing and playing UNO. 4 Unusual things about our family: 1) WE ALL DO OUR SHADOW WORK. When our kids were in the pre-k years and imagination & creativity was at a peak i helped them with bad dreams by blending play therapy and light work to help them transmute the dense energies and they would sleep peacefully & independently afterwards. As they grew, we assisted them in in addressing their fractured parts with alchemical parts integration. Today they ground, clear, do chord cuttings on their own. 2) I BEGAN SETTING UP ALTARS WHEN WE SLEEP AWAY FROM HOME FOR PROTECTION: We used to wake to lost souls and unfinished business in the unseen when we stayed away from home— hotels, Airbnb’s, even camping in nature. Making offerings and clearing the density has made it much smoother to be empaths. 3) Land acknowledgements and gifts are shared everyplace we visit. I ground, acknowledge the land and indigenous peoples of the place, ask permission to work in harmony, introducing our family and ancestors. We are almost always welcomed. It also helps us discern what to offer as a gift and on a rare occasion, if it’s wise to move on. 4. Before middle school, my kids asked questions about consciousness and the way the Universe works. In the hot tub video, @sethtaylor40 weaves in a little wisdom on the relationship between the somatic and the energy centers before a family cold plunge to encourage awareness and tracking the experience. We have handed our kids plenty of moments to heal from as we passed on shame, attachment wounds, and other traumas we as parents worked on in response to learning how to be conscious parents addressing our shadow & ancestral healing. But we have also given them the gift of fostering their spiritual and energetic perception.$
