The I AM ME Kids Fashion Show 2026 is about to light up Atlanta City Hall and when I tell you this is NOT just a fashion show… it’s a movement. 💫

Theme: FUTURISTIC
Innovation. Confidence. Forward-Thinking Youth.

These young stars (ages 11–17) are stepping onto that runway bold, brilliant, and unstoppable. And guess what? Hair & Makeup is powered by SetWorkMasters featuring professional hairstylists and makeup artists from across Atlanta. We are bringing polish, precision, and runway energy all the way up.

Last night made everything feel lighter.

For the first time in a long time, I felt celebrated—not for what I’ve overcome, but simply for being here… alive, present, and seen.

The love in the room, the energy, the elegance—it was more than an event. It was a reawakening.

@everycolormatters Every Color Matters, thank you for reminding me that joy still exists after pain. That there’s life beyond the losses. That I still matter.

I’ve carried a lot silently.
Most people only saw the strength, the career, the smile.
They didn’t see the private battles—the financial strain, the rebuilding, the breathless nights.
But last night?
Last night healed something in me.

To the incredible women and men who were part of this celebration—
@ReeceOdom, @meetbarneyjackson, DorothySpann Taylor, Michele Willis, Erica Cooper, Terra Haynes, Dr. Crystal Chapman, Sonnia Ray—you poured love into every moment.

Meet Joscynthia R. Johnson Mason

Diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma in 2020, Joscynthia has faced years of biopsies, treatments, and surgeries, including radiation that caused third-degree burns and lasting side effects.

She is currently undergoing a five-year chemotherapy plan with hormonal therapy, regular scans, and biopsies. A recent lumpectomy in October 2024 was followed by the discovery of a new mass. Supported by her sons, Aaron and Timothy, Joscynthia remains resilient despite being unable to work.

We’re honored to recognize Joscynthia as one of our benefit recipients at the Every Color Matters Gala Fundraiser today. Thanks to your support, warriors like Joscynthia receive real help when they need it most.

“I didn’t shave it. I saved it. 💇🏽‍♀️
Breast cancer didn’t just hit my body — it hit everything.
Mentally, I was drained.
Physically, I was fighting.
Financially, I was stretched.
And visually… I was unraveling.

Every clump of hair in the shower…
Every thinning patch that showed through…
Every mirror I had to face felt like a new layer of grief.

But through it all, I chose to preserve what I could.
To treat my scalp and strands with care — even when it looked weak, even when others didn’t understand.
I didn’t want to shave my head.
I wanted to honor it.
I needed to see myself in the fight — not just after it.

I stepped away from chemicals, from the bleach and bold colors I once loved… and found new love in Henna. It gave my hair a second chance to speak for me — to reflect healing, softness, and growth in its purest form.

Now this pixie? She’s more than a haircut.
She’s a survivor’s testimony.
A stylist’s decision to still show up and create even when everything felt like it was falling apart.
She’s beauty, redefined — not in spite of the battle, but because of it.

I’m still on meds.
Still healing.
Still growing.
And still standing tall with my crown — unshaved, untouched by shame, and undeniably mine. 👑

I didn’t just bounce back — I built back. And my hair? She’s proof.

I’ve stood before thousands—educating, creating, pouring into others as a beauty professional, educator, and visionary. I’ve served celebrities, business moguls, and everyday warriors alike. But behind the glam, behind the power poses and stages, there’s a woman who’s been battling.

Some days, I could barely lift myself out of bed. Other days, I questioned my worth—comparing the “then” to the “now.” But pain doesn’t erase purpose. Setbacks don’t cancel destiny.

I’ve cried. I’ve crawled. But I’ve never quit.

Because I know who I am.

This journey reminded me: I am not defined by what I’ve lost—but by what I continue to rise into.

I’m not focused on who wronged me, who didn’t show up, or who underestimated me. I’m focused on who I am becoming. And the comeback is personal.

This flashback? It’s not about proving anything to anyone but me.

I’m not done.
I’m rebuilding.
And I’m coming back stronger, softer, wiser, and even more powerful.

Because I am FEARLESS. I am BRAVE. I am STRONG.
