Not your average Thursday afternoon.
I had the absolute privilege of being asked to be part of the TCS Run Clinic at Meadowbank Stadium this afternoon.

I was asked to be part of the panel talk Q&A alongside, the wonderful Paula Radcliffe. What an absolute pinch me moment.

The team at TCS and Seventy were so welcoming and friendly. I felt at ease to be sitting on stage to talk about my favourite subject, running and of course, We Run Edinburgh.

…And just like that, my 2-month contract as Event Manager at Seventy Events has wrapped!

Fun fact: when I saw the role online, it was already closed 🔴 — but I reached out to the hiring manager anyway, and after two interviews, I secured the position.

What started as helping with one major event turned into managing three across some of London’s most prestigious venues. Over 900 attendees, 20+ vendors, countless tastings, site visits & production calls later — I’m grateful for the growth and memories.

I can’t share final photos (client confidentiality!), but here’s some BTS that capture the journey. ✨

A Decade of Partnership with Seventy Events and the SMMT Annual Dinner. 💫
@seventy.events @ukautomotive_smmt

For the past 10 years, equip has proudly supported the SMMT Annual Dinner, working with Seventy Events to deliver exceptional technical production. This year, we helped make the iconic event a true success.

The SMMT Annual Dinner brings together over 1,000 leaders from the automotive, government, and media sectors.

Founded in 1902, SMMT has been the voice of the UK automotive industry, and the Annual Dinner remains a key fixture on the business calendar.

equip provided comprehensive technical services, including sound, video, staging, and production management, ensuring flawless execution for guests to enjoy insightful speeches and entertainment.

With keynote speeches from the Secretary of State for Business and Trade and the SMMT President, and entertainment by Tom Allen, the evening was a resounding success.

We’re grateful for the praise and positive feedback from Elizabeth Bond of Seventy Events and look forward to continuing our partnership for years to come.
