BODYBOUND

Some say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but is it really? I'd argue that true beauty is equal parts creation and recognition. It is just as much yours as it is someone else's.

💧INTRODUCING💧 @severa.muchacha

Flor Chavela [she/her] is a Colombian artist who just arrived in the Netherlands. Her artistic practice is based on sculpture, drawing, textiles and words. She is always exploring identity, culture and emotions as a trans and intersex woman.
Her performance for ‘AH, QUEER LOVE’ is part of her project ‘Florecita en llamas’ (‘Little Flower on Fire’) which is a lifetime artistic diary of her emotions. This project was born after her psychiatrist asked her to find a way to describe and analyze her feelings so she could identify them more easily. She will be doing a spoken word performance about her experience as a Trans person in Colombia, Love and Migrating.

Come see this artist and many others on Friday 10 November ‘AH, QUEER LOVE’
