CAST ANNOUNCEMENT: THERESA IKOKO’S ‘GIRLS’ HEADS TO THE YOUNG VIC The cast has been announced for Theresa Ikoko’s award-winning play Girls. The play won the Alfred Fagon Award in 2015 and George Devine Award in 2016, and was also a finalist for the Verity Bargate Award. It was first staged at HighTide Festival in 2016, in a production shared with Soho Theatre and Talawa Theatre Company. Ewa Dina makes her Young Vic directorial debut with the production, which won her the 2026 JMK Award. WHEN/WHERE? And just like that, Jaja’s African Hair Braiding has officially closed its doors! 🥲🪮 And what an experience it was. 10 weeks of pure laughter, love and joy. The people I had the pleasure to work with make my heart sing.
