Highlight of Rhinebeck every year for me is the @dreareneeknits @spincycle_yarns @thefarmersdaughterfibers knitalong meetup! I love seeing so many color combinations and chatting with new and old friends from previous years! It was cold so I didn’t do a lot of socializing, but Andrea is so kind and sweet and i can’t believe how she remembers details about lil old me. 🥹 Found my yarn purveyor friends @doeweknit and @meebles , new friend @sfchick with whom I bonded over our pink Antipodes, and new friend from today, @thefuzzyknittingbee ! Check out her adorable frog’s Antipodes sweater! And I just noticed her photo bombing Carrie and me with her frog in the last photo. Delightful and hilarious! 😂😍

Besties day out! Fantastic Summer Fridays on the Summer Solstice ☀️with @sfchick in Oakmont!

The sun stayed out and we got great finds including some favorite mysteries from @mysteryloversbookshop - beautiful, shop-exclusive yellow green (my fave) yarn from @chroniclesofcheryl called “A New Beginning” at @oakmontyarncollab - awesome pizza (not pictured as we ate it too fast) from @leonespizzaoakmont - iced chai from @moonbeamcafe - and last but not least an unplanned gorgeous blue purple hydrangea from @rootstopetalsstudio to replace the white one that unfortunately died a few years ago (we think from bad drainage).

And of course, knitting. We even saw a CS Kim karate location, which is where @sfchick and I met many years ago.

Pro tip: go to Oakmont during PGA tours since parking is elsewhere and people assume it’s busy, but it’s not.

Bestie time today was lovely with @sfchick - Presents were exchanged and knitting was had! It’s nice to just hang out and recharge during this liminal time before the new year. 8-bit doodle hat made by me. I got some sweet knitting swag too!

We’re both wearing sweaters we each knit.
I’m wearing the Turtledove sweater, Rainah is wearing Alpenglow.
